I stayed in an executive room whcih cost about ?100 more for the 2 nights than a standard double that my sister stayed in. It was definately worth paying extra though. My sisters standard double - room 04, had dirt stains all over the carpet, the sink in the bathroom was blocked and the room was small and cramped.
Neither room had a stocked mini-bar despite what it said on the hotel web-site. One of the bottles of water in my room had its seal broken and wasnt full.
The plus points? well, the location is good, the bar is nice and small if a bit pricey.
If you get a good price on an executive room then take it. i wouldnt recommend the standard double after seeing what they are like.

The location of this hotel is great, and it's miles better than its near neighbour (St Giles). However, the nice room and excellent service at check-in and in the bar was spoiled by the appalling service at breakfast. It took 20 minutes and three requests just to get coffee and a menu, and then the food was disappointing - most was lukewarm bordering on cold but the (obviously microwaved) eggs nearly burned me! Having said that, I probably would stay again, although I'll be getting breakfast at the cafe over the road!

I booked through the hotel website and got a lastminute deal at 97
pounds incl. taxes. Pricey, but still value for money, because the rooms
are tastefully decorated, silent, very clean, all sort of amenities
provided, free wireless internet access, well-lit. The location, a 3
minutes' walk from the British Musum, should be unbeatable for tourists: I
was there for business and appreciated the convenience of late night
shopping in Tottenham Court Road and nearness to the tube. The only
nagging was the price of thetelephone, that at 2 pounds per minute, I found
extortionate. Beware and use a mobile or public phone box instead.

My wife and i stayed here over the May Bank Holiday weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We saw "We Will Rock You" at the Dominion Theatre and this hotel was ideal as it is only 40 metres from the theatre and Tottenham Court Road tube station.
We arrvied at 12 noon and the staff were only too happy to check us in early. The room was very clean and well presented with individual temperature control for the airconditioning which was great as some London hotels dont have this feature. The rooms were not as big as other hotels we have stayed at in London but were more than adequate for our weekend stay.
The hotel is walking distance to Covent Garden (Restaurants), Oxford Street (Shopping), West End (Theatres) so great for a city break.
When we checked out at 12 noon the hotel staff were more than happy to hold our bags for us as we walked around shopping.
We would defintely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone after a city break close to the West End.

The basics of a hotel room of any star should be to be able to sleep. There is no insulation in the walls. You can hear the neighbours cough, sneeze, talk, their TV etc...
When you complain about it to one of our many Eastern European friends you may as well be speaking to the wall in the bedroom as you at least are getting a response through that.
They have done all the work required to make this a 4* facility, (even a bath of sorts. 1m long?) but, they have not spent on what makes this a pleasant environment to stay in. They should place having sufficient insulation as a requirement for a 4* star rating. Definitely having trained staff that have the ability to apologies for the hotels deficiencies.
Lovely decor downstairs and lovely looking bar.
There are lots of hotels in London. I will not be using this one again. I would be willing to pay extra for better service. This is becoming increasing rare in London..
