I had to go to Thessaloniki for business. My patners booked this hotel for me... i left the 2nd night. Even though it looks good from outside and in the lobby, the rooms are hideous... the sheets are dirty and the towels gave me a rush. I am sorry to say that, but at least the location was good... but other than that, nothing else.

I recently stayed at the Kinissi Palace on business for a few days -- the hotel was chosen for me so I had very little information about it in advance. It's located on a busy street (Egnatia) in the middle of town which was fine since I like being in the thick of things.
My room had its ups and downs. On the positive side, it was roomy enough with plenty of closet space (although there was no dresser and the bathroom was tiny). The soundproofing was also good. However, there were a number of problems. First, there was no stopper in the sink so I had to call to get one brought up. Although there was a thermostat and air conditioning, the air that was blown in had a high cigarette smoke content so the room actually smelled fresher if I left the A/C off. (This may have just been a problem with my room as other people I asked hadn't noticed this in their rooms.) The hair dryer in the bathroom was one of those hose contraptions that gently blow warm air at you -- not very effective -- so I went out and bought myself a real blow dryer at a local shop. And although the hotel advertised "internet connectivity," that just means the rooms have modern phone jacks so you can use a modem with your laptop (no high-speed or wifi here). Finally, the shower was *tiny*! See the picture ... and be warned if you plan to visit this hotel and are above average in size. Plus the shower nozzle would not fit properly in the wall fixture -- the only position where it wouldn't fall out was one in which the water stream was pointed at the wall.
As for the rest of the hotel, most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was fine and included in the room price. There is no exercise room per se, but there are some types of spa services (e.g., massage) in the basement.
Overall, although I didn't have a terrible stay, if I were to visit this city again, I would probably opt to stay at another hotel.
