I have no complaints about this hotel. It wasn't luxury, but that wasn't what I was looking for either. Good location for walking. Staff was very helpful, although I don't know if I would leave my key at the front desk when you leave b/c I would leave it with one person and pick it up when I got back from another and the never verified anything they just gave me the key. The breakfast was good, no complaints. Internet was free and high-speed, but not wireless so you'll need an ethernet cable but I think they can provide that.

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for one night. It was definitely in the most perfect location, we couldn't have asked for more.
The hotel provided excellent directions for travel on the train from the airport, and we got there very easily. It was then just a few minutes walk from there to the acropolis, the Zeus Olympic temple and the Plaka district. It was certainly in the heart of everything. So easy in fact that after dinner in the plaka, we walked toward the acropolis again so that we could see it lit up at night.
The rooms themselves were very basic, although of course we spent very little time in there. But the breakfast buffet was far better than we expected.
For 95 euros a night, I thought this hotel was a great find!

Great location....as has been said several times, this hotel is right next to the Parthenon. It is a short walk (less then 5 min) to the Parthenon and is located right in the Plaka. The front desk help was super friendly (twin brothers work different shifts) and gave us excellent advice as to where to go in the plaka. The lobby was nicely decorated, nothing overly special or dated for that matter. The room was spacious for European standards. It was clean and simply decorated. Our room only had a view of the building accross the narrow alley. Upon our arrival we were given a free drink. Over all nothing especially memoriable, but was very servicible for a one night stay on the tail end of a Greek Honeymoon. I'd recommend this place for a good look at the Plaka and Parthenon

In the immediate vicinity of Plaka & the Acropolis & around the corner from the new Acropolis museum, very close to Syntagma Square & Monastiraki. Lots to see & do on foot, but near to the metro station for exploring other areas or for transport to the airport or Piraeus.
Although central the hotel is in a quiet street. The staff are very friendly & helpful, & were quick to respond to any requests. We knew where we were going to go while in Athens, but heard the reception staff helping many other people with directions & information.
We only had breakfast there one morning & thought that there was a good variety to choose from. The rooms were clean & the beds very comfortable. The only comment would be that there were not many hangers in our wardrobe, which was ok for us as we were only there for a few days, but could be a problem for a longer stay (& therefore more clothes!)
I'm sure there are many hotels of a similiar or better standard in Athens, but for anyone wanting to see the main central sites the location really makes the difference.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel in early July and were very pleased. You can't beat the location - steps to one entrance to the Parthenon, and right in the Plaka. In my opinion, this is the only place to stay in Athens! It is also within easy walking distance to other sites and to convenient public transportation. We asked for a quiet room and got one at the end of the hall on the 2nd floor - it was perfect! Temperatures were close to 100 degrees F, so having a nicely air-conditioned room was a necessity. The lobby and rooms were modern and nicely furnished. Breakfast was terrific and included in the room price - lots of choice and good food. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They offer internet access, but at 8 euros an hour! (There is an internet cafe nearby on Amalias that only charges 2 euros per hour and pro-rates the price).
