As this was a last minute stay in Santa Fe we were very fortunate to get a room near the plaza. As it turned out this was a very fun place with comfortable beds and cute bathroom. The breakfast buffet was excellent as well. The rooms are small but it was fine for one night!
The flowers and decor are outstanding!

The Hotel was in a very good location. It's about 2 blocks from the Plaza which may be a good thing if you want to be away from the bustle, but yet be close enough so you can walk to it anytime--night or day. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The free breakfast is great, and there is a 4 to 5 pm sherry and tea that is quite nice. The Hotel restaurant which is very reasonable (5 to 8 dollars) is also very good. The Inn is also close to Guadalupe Street which has a few good restaurants--Cowgirl Barbecue, Zia's Diner, and a Japanese restaurant (forgot its name). Room was pleasant enough for the 3 of us.

This hotel is in a great location for walking in Santa Fe. They also provide great free parking which is not ample in Santa Fe.
The breakfast in the hotel is really incredible. You can have a full blown eggs and meat buffet or something lighter like fresh fruit and cereal. Very fresh and wonderful choices to choose from.
Our room was clean, quiet, the fireplace was nice in the evenings and we had a balcony. The Del Charro Saloon in the hotel has a laid back atmosphere and good food. They have great chips and salsa you can take back to your room with drinks.
There was cookies and cherry in the lobby which was fun to break up the afternoon after a day of tourism and before dinner.
You get a lot for your money and we would go back!

My mom and I stayed at the Inn of the Governors this month on a trip to Santa Fe. The inn was very clean; the rooms were cute and the beds were nice. The staff members were incredibly helpful and full of advice and answers to our questions. Great location--just a few steps away from the Plaza and museums. I would strongly recommend staying in this hotel on a visit to Santa Fe!

A gem of a spot, located well within walking distance to the Plaza and Canyon Road. We were treated royally by any and all of the concierges at the front desk, we were in a beautiful room, we had a wonderful buffet breakfast (included w/room rate) and we had a parking pass for FREE parking in the outdoor OR indoor garage. Can't wait to return.
