A clean and comfortable place, but nothing special. Breakfast was skimpy.
On the negative side, there were crumbs in one area, indicating that the maids had skipped using the vacuum cleaner. The room had a big wide window, so for any privacy you have to keep the curtain fully drawn. And what's even worse, the curtain didn't fully cover the window, so besides the privacy concern there was too much bright light coming in from outside at night.
The location is convenient in that it's near highways, but there aren't any good restaurants nearby.

I was a little apprehensive about booking a room here after reading the previous reviews, but trusting the Best Western brand, I booked anyway...GLAD I did!
Check-in was quick and the clerk was friendly. I requested a room with good Wi-Fi and that's what I got. The room was clean, the TV had plenty of variety, and there was even soap, shampoo, and a make-up removal cloth on the vanity. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room! Usually for this price, ($ 77.90 including tax) the room isn't always as clean but this room had been properly cleaned and looked really nice. One side of this motel is next to the road but I didn't hear traffic noise or noise from adjoining rooms and slept well. The bed was comfortable and the linens were clean and nice. I didn't stay for the continental breakfast but the in-room coffee service ofered several cups of coffee and adequate cream & sugar. The shower was hot and STRONG! Great shower! Nice, reasonably thick ,towels too..and plenty of them!
There is a Kentucky Fried Chicken and a K Mart across the street from the motel and a Taco Bell within sight (and walking distance) from the motel. I walked the 1/2 block to the Taco Bell for supper. There were several contractors staying at the motel so this must be a popular base for working folks..not lowlifes. I felt very safe here and the neighborhood looked commercial but NOT run down or scary. I would feel safe sending my wife here by herself.
I would consider this motel an "undiscovered gem" and will stay here again when I return to Lynchburg.
I filled out a comment card and received a nice email from the manager saying they would be buying the housekeeper who cleaned my room lunch because of the nice comments I left. It's good to know that the management values their employees and that the employees care about their jobs.....So many workers in this industry are unknown and unappreciated!!
To YVETTE (the housekeeper who cleaned my room):
YOU (and the good job you do) are the MAIN reason I recommend this motel and WILL return! Thanks!

This is a hotel with outdoor access. Normally, I get skittish about such places because of the increased likelihood of noise and bugs, but it was an ok stay.
The room was really clean and there were no signs of bugs (I even looked behind the headboard to be sure). The sink was separated from the rest of the bathroom, which was really nice too. The tv had a good range of channels. Plus, the hotel is located across the street from a KMart and next to the Texas Steakhouse - so it is in a convenient place.
My only complaint was finding a big spider dangling from the ceiling fan/vent in the bathroom early in the morning. However, the situation was resolved quickly.

Basic and minimal

Location is right on the highway surrounded by concrete. King size bed room had extremely small bathroom and dressing area (only one sink) and absolutely minimal supplies despite message that we could ask for more at the desk. Bath towels seemed smaller than usual. Only one type of heavy drape thus no privacy during the day. service personnel very friendly/helpful. I thought the Ramada infinitely preferable by comparison.
