The only reason I'm giving this hotel 2 stars is the price. I booked it on P r i c e l i n e and got a deal of $35/ night. The bathroom was updated in probably the 50's and the toilet kept stopping up for which the manager "let" us use his enormous plunger. (instead of doing it himself). The mat in the tub was gross and the carpet was dingy. I wore my Crocs at all times - Especially in the shower!
The breakfast was pretty standard. The waffle I had was good, nothing to write home about.
It was close to Colonial Williamsburg, which is, in itself, a complete JOKE. Overpriced junk, and closed buildings. It was also pretty close to Busch Gardens, but that was all it was close to. You have to drive at least 15 minutes to do anything! Eat, shop, even get gas! And good luck finding your way back.

Great Place, only a few minutes drive to the Williamsburg Visitor center. Very easy access to Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown. We were in the heart of the town which was nice. We did not see a Walmart, chain restaraunt the whole time which was great to get away from. I know they are there but on the other side of town. This motel was very easy to find off route 64. Rooms smelled clean, decor was nice and simple. the place is simple but the beds were comfortable and large. The bathroom was plain but had all your needs. The hairdryer was a bit out dated but oh well. They did not provide shampoo but they did provide soap. Breakfast was nice but not too fancy enough to get you started in the AM, the waffles were great! could have used some fruit or something and bigger cups...minor things...all in all we only paid 45 a night off hotels.com..we could not complain...we took the whole family rented 3 rooms and every one was please which is hard to do with 7 people......

We booked our stay via AAA (a whole other matter) for a one night stay to get some sleep after our 6 hour drive. The location is conveineint but that is where any recommendation for this hole ends. The room smelled like urine and there were nail clippings in the tub. I dont' think the microwave was ever cleaned. In addtion, when my wife went to get a glass of water she noted the strong smell of bleach in the plastic cup which makes me us wonder if they are replaced or just "cleaned" after the guests leave. One of the bed pillows had an fresh stain (thankfully we had our own linens and slept ON them) When we went to check out were were charged an amount different then our confirmed rate. After 5 mintues of arguing it was pretty apparent I wasn't going to get anywhere so I let it drop until my return home. I've done a fair amount of traveling and dont mind staying in old places but the filth in this place was over the top. One star is too good a rating.

The hotel claims to have been recently renovated, but I saw no evidence of renovations. The staff was basically ok, not overly friendly but ok.The room was not too bad, tho the sink dripped, and the bathroom could use painting. They were great about getting me a refrigerator and microwave. Friday night was quiet, but Saturday there was a lot of noise in the parking lot, as the old lounge for the hotel has apparently been leased out to a club of sorts. Lots of car alarms going off at all hours, loud motorcycles going thru the lot, people making noise out by their vehicles..drinking and partying. Which is fine for a club, but not so good for hotel guests. Won't stay there again, as I did not feel my vehicle was secure enough with all the people wandering thru.
Not that good

The poor reviews are right on for this hotel. It was dingy, the beds were stiff as boards. They also had a rule posted that Busch Gardens guests couldn't use their continental breakfast. I honestly don't know how they could even enforce that rule considering the park is a few miles away. Find a different hotel to stay at in Williamsburg.
