We had a 3 night weekend stay at the end of May in this hotel.
Very impressed.
Reservations: Very patient and friendly and professional.
Check in and Check out was fast, efficient and helpful.
Front Desk Staff: Excellent and helpful.
Concierge Staff: Excellent and helpful.
Room: We had a room on floor 16 with a view of the ocean. The room had a nice comfortable King size bed, lots of pillows, nice bathroom and large LCD TV. It was very clean.
Housekeeping: Excellent, and reliable. We had our baby and a cot in the room and when housekeeping was needed for any extras they were only to happy to help.
At one stage our baby lost a favourite toy bear somewhere maybe at the front of the hotel or elsewhere and within 3 hours of informing reception we recieved a call on our mobile that it was found and delivered to our room.
The best 4.5 star hotel I have stayed in and once again I must say that we have been very impressed with the staff and how they provided such excellent service.

We stayed here for 10 days on holiday, everything went pretty smooth, our room was very clean, and the bed was amazingly comfortable with an asssortment of pillows. The only thing we didn't expect was to be charged $5 per day to park your car in the hotel car park, which to our fustration was full on a few of the nights we stayed. Overall we enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it and stay again.

We found a nice rate for this hotel ($135 for one night on hotels.com) over the Australia Day weekend. When we pulled in, we were excited to see that the hotel was a legitimately large hotel with a nice lobby and real bell hops (oooh).
Our room was a standard room on the 18th floor. We had a view to the west (not beach-side). This was actually kind of cool - Surfers Paradise has a bunch of interesting waterways meandering among the residential neighborhoods. But, we couldn't see the beach from the room.
The room itself was clean, relatively modern (nice widescreen TV but, of course, no actual widescreen or HD programming), and regular size (i.e., not particularly large). We did not have a balcony. One minor issue with our room - the toilet seat cover was kind of oddly-positioned, so that it would not stay upright.
Parking was only $5 for the night, which was a big bonus. However, Internet was expensive ($25 for 24 hrs), but that seems like the going rate for many of the Oz hotels we've been in.
The hotel is a couple blocks away from the beach - not right on it. However, it is of course a short walk to get there, as well as close to the Cavill Ave Mall.
Overall, a great stay for the rate that we paid. We were very happy with the accommodations, and we'd gladly go back.

A great break

A friend and I decided to take a break to celebrate the end of Uni exams, which unfortunately coincided with schoolies week. We decided to stay at the watermark, and got a "stay 5 pay 4" deal on a club room which turned out to be a great deal. Our fears about being surrounded by annoying schoolies kids were allayed as nobody under 18 is allowed on the club levels, and the staff treated us particularly well due to our status as club guests. The best thing was the club lounge. The complimentary breakfast here is particularly nice and the staff were very attentive. We also enjoyed the free drinks and canapes in the lounge between 6-8pm every evening and found ourselves there every day. The only odd thing was one little mix up where the room service people gave us something that was supposed to be for the room next door, but this was all easily sorted. I definitely recommend this hotel, and i would suggest upgrading to club.
