We have just returned from a splendid tour of Vietnam staying at various hotels. On 28th February it was my wifes birthday and on that day we had booked a suite at Victoria Can Tho. On arrival we were greeted with a cold towel and a fruit cocktail and the check in was performed by smart, polite front of house staff. We were excorted to the suite and our bags had already been placed inside. The room was massive, spotlessly clean and well equiped. Fragrant flowers and an assortment of fresh fruit on the lounge table. What a wonderful welcome we thought, but it was to get better. On the dresser in the bedroom cards wishing her a happy birthday, and welcoming us to the hotel, plus various gifts had been placed.Lynn my wife was overcome with the generosity and thoughtfulness. Happy birthday darling i said but this was just the start.
In the evening we made our way to the restaurant and took a table outside. We dined that evening on beautiful well presented food with wonderful service. The piece de resistance of the meal was the presentation of a cake for Lynn and the waitress lighting the candles, plus a bouquet of assorted colour roses. When we thought that was it for another year Raymond the hotels general manager came over to have a chat and to wish Lynn happy birthday
The hotel pulled out all stops to make the day memorable for us, and for that we will sing their praises .
We also spoke to various other travellers that day ,all of which spoke highly of the hotel. We found it a clean, value for money well run hotel ,in wonderfull surroundings, and would not hesitate to return for another visit if we travel to Vietnam again.

Only stayed one night, but would have liked to have stayed longer. Very relaxing setting, colonial style building, good service, nice facilities, and compared to a lot of other resort hotels in Vietnam, competitively priced.
If there was one complaint.....after a long hot day out and about came back looking forward to diving into an inviting deep blue pool. Alas it was the temperature of bath water. Oh well, can't have everything....

A wonderful place to stay and very handy for all the local tours.Very good breakfast, warm pool.We ate in at night due to the very poor selection of resteraunts in town,by local standards was expensive but very good,$60 for two with wine. Can Tho is a dump.Transfers to Saigon are by speedboat (3hrs) @$10 or express mini bus @$5 (4hrs+).Cannot recommend road travel,it is hairy and full of danger. Both will pick you up from hotel by feeder car.We arranged this with the hotel.
