Ruby's Inn is a very large hotel outside of Bryce Canyon National Park. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. However, the food and service at the restaurant was horrible! I ordered a salad and it took half an hour for the waitress to tell me she forgot it and i had to wait another 15 minutes to get it! In total, I waited 45 minutes for a salad. I ordered the Cowboy Pasta and found it to be dry and unappetizing. The rooms are nice, but do not eat at the restaurant. It's way too expensive for the quality.

Not all employees at Best Western Ruby's Inn at Bryce are rude, but you will probably come across enough of them to be upset. Next time, I would either pay more to stay inside the park or drive longer to stay down the road.
When I tried to check in during my April 2008 visit, there were four workers standing behind the counter. I was the only person in line but none of them paid any attention to me. Three of them were apparently, in an annoyed manner, handling a complaint by a guest that he could not get Internet access. The fourth one behind the counter was looking down at her computer. As soon as the complaining guest had gone away, two of the three workers stared at his/her computer while the third one milled around a little and went away. All were facing me most of the time but marvelously maintained no eye contact with me. The one who were not handling the compliant eventually checked me in.
The next morning, my friend wanted to buy some stamps from the hotel counter. Even though she said she was in a hurry to leave, the woman at the counter made my friend wait saying she needed to be done with sorting and distributing the incoming mail first! The restaurant workers were no better. First, the reception said the 8 of us had to sit in two tables because there was no 8 person table at that time. It was no big deal and we agreed. Besides, it was almost 9:30 pm and we would not be able to find anywhere else to eat. When we went in, we noticed that there were a lot of vacant modular tables. The majority of the customers had left. The reception had put 2 tables together for us without our asking. He knew better when he said he could not sit us together. Another time we were trying to buy some takeout breakfast. Without any words, the man at one register pointed his finger to the next register. How rude! We then saw that he was busy trying to spread butter on his own breakfast toast. The woman at the next register was very impatient and blunt. What’s wrong with this place? There was no sense of service.
The elderly ladies at the souvenir shop cash registers and our server at the restaurant were nice. That’s about it. As for non-people factors, the showerheads were too tall to reach and adjust. To get ice, we had to take a flash light and walk across the parking lot to another building. My friends confirmed they could not get any Internet access at their room. The water was cold when they showered in the morning although we did not have such a problem.

We stayed at Ruby's Inn RV Park and thoroughly enjoyed both the park and the amenities. All of the facilities were clean and in good order. And the convenience of having every possible entertainment choice available right there at Ruby's lodge was fantastic.
They also have the most amazing General Store I have ever seen! Souviners, sporting goods, full fledged camera and photo store, groceries, prepared meals, RV supplies and camping equipment, outdoor clothing, a U.S. post office, sheesh! Did I miss anything!?
Even though we stayed at the RV park, we were permitted to also use the large indoor pool at the lodge. It was very clean and there is an excellent lobby that wraps around the pool where you get great WiFi reception for the laptop. Watching the kids swim while catching up on email was very nice. The campground pool was smaller but also very clean and nice.
There is also good WiFi reception near the campground office, a very clean laundry room, and a Bryce park office there too so you can buy your pass to get in.
Another convenience was not having to drive at all to see Bryce Canyon. We simply hopped on the Bryce shuttle that stops right in front of the Inn and also the campground.
There is no better option than Rubys while visiting Bryce. I would happily stay there again and hope to do so someday.

For some reason, there are not a lot of good options around Bryce Canyon National Park. Ruby's seems to have some inside link. This is a massive motel complex but it was rather rundown. The beds weren't very comfortable and pillows were practically flat. The pools were overly crowded and not well cared for. The restaurants were way overpriced and the food quality was poor. Many foreign workers here...many struggled with English. I observed one actually stealing from one of the gift shops while she was on duty....I awkwardly had to report her, but I'm not sure what actually happened. If possible, I would suggest staying at the Bryce Lodge. Ruby's is just not a great place to hang out.

Ruby's pretty much dominates outside of Bryce. I thought it a little pricey. But where else can you go? Better beds would of helped. Might be a little dark for older folks inside the rooms and hallways. Nice western feel.
