Carroll Villa continues to be one of the best stays in Cape May. Stay only if you enjoy Victorian ambience in a clean, well appointed room with modern conveniences. Service is excellent and always cheerful. Food is packaged with the price of the room and is well above the standard fare and always a culinary delight. Located near Washington Street Mall, 1/2 block from the beach and boardwalk. Only minus would be parking, which is off-site, but FREE (a plus). Located several blocks across town, walking shoes or "drop-off" is recommended. A loading/unloading zone is provided for check-in and luggage in front of the hotel. All in all, a very enjoyable stay and experience.

We stayed at the Carroll Villa for only one night. It's located right in the heart of Cape May and is one block from the beach and just a couple blocks from exciting shopping and many of the Cape's night-time entertainment and dining options. As for breakfast, the food is very tasty, but is served in their attached "Mad Batter" restaurant and not at a "home dinner table" as I've experienced at all the other B&B's I've stayed at. You'll get a $30 voucher toward breakfast, which will run you about that much (if you take it easy). I didn't find the food "out of this World", but it was quite tasty. The Inn staff is very courteous and will bend over backwards to see that your stay is just right. With regards to our stay, upon arrival, I asked if they had any additional space for us to stay another night. Even though they no vacancies, the lady who checked us in called around until she found another B&B that would have us. Since the Mad Batter is a restaurant, I didn't get a chance to meet and greet the Inn-keepers as I enjoy doing at other B&B's. Even though this is the case, we enjoyed and had a pleasant stay at the Carroll Villa B&B.

My husband and I had never been to Cape May, so we weren't sure what to expect when we arrived. We were pleasantly surprised. Having been to other beaches at the Jersey shore several times, the town offered much more than the average beach town, and the Caroll Villa had a warm, unique atmosphere that is hard to match in a regular hotel. Excellent and friendly staff, a voucher good for $30 every morning for breakfast, and beautifully decorated rooms made this a wonderful and special place to stay for our Cape May vacation.

We stayed here for a weekend while in town for a family wedding in June. That is peak season so everything is pricey. This is a decent deal as they give you a wonderful breakfast with every night and 30% of dinner which again is worth it in Cape May. The food is excellent, the rooms are tiny but clean and extremely charming. As everything is in Cape May, it is circa 1800's so expect crooked floors and ancient fixtures - but how cool is that for a change?

Loved The Carroll Villa
Guest name: GRACE21747, SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY
My Girlfriend Just Turned 50, & We Planned To Stay At The Carroll Villa From May 18-20TH To Celebrate! Our Husbands Just Wanted Us To Enjoy Ourselves! They Stayed Home.
We Really Did Enjoy Ourselves, Even Though We Picked The Rainiest Days Of The Week!
The Staff Sent 50 YR Old Celebration Balloons To Our Room! That Was A Nice Surprise!
We Managed To Go Shopping & Go Shell Hunting In Between The Rain Drops! We Were Only 1/2 A Block From The Ocean! Nothing To Complain About!
We Requested 2 Beds And We Loved The Victorian Decor! The Bathroom Was Just Right! The Shower Gel, Shampoo & Conditioner Dispenser Was Perfect! I Was Happy To See A Hairdryer On The Wall!
The $30 Breakfast Voucher For The Mad Batter Was A Pleasant Surprise! We Had Omelettes & They Were Wonderful! The Wait Staff Went Out Of Their Way To Accommodate Us!
Of Course Our Stay Flew By Too Quickly!!! It Was Lovely!
Thank You,
ANNE K. & GLORIA D.
