You Won't Need an Alarm Clock

My two teenage children and I stayed here one night during our 5-day trip to Disneyland. We booked the room @ Lemon Tree for the first day of our visit. After driving from the Bay Area for 6.5 hours, we were dead tired and we just needed a clean place to crash/sleep. We arrived around midnight and there was a clerk at the front desk to check us in without issue. The room was a double queen (n/smoking). It was small and what I would describe as 'rustic'. The bathroom is small. As mentioned by other clients, you need to stand in the shower/tub in order to close the bathroom door. There is no alarm clock in the roon but there is a clock on the wall.
At 5:30am the next morning, I realized why there is no need for an alarm clock in the room - the birds!! They wake you up when the sun rises and if you are a light sleeper, they will wake you up free of charge!! Also, your neighbor sitting in their lounge chair near your door while they smoke at 8am will help to wake you up. The birds and neighbors were not a problem for my teenagers since nothing wakes them from their sleep.
If you are thinking of going to Disneyland or Knott's - you must have a car to stay at this hotel (warning). It is not close to either attraction. If you have a car then it is no problem once you find the hotel. (Sign is hidden from the street.)
What I liked:
(1) relatively cheap ($78/night before tax)
(2) clean
(3) fridge in room
What I didn't like:
(1) birds, birds, birds (bring ear plugs)
(2) parking is tight but you don't have to park on the street
(3) furnishings were a little too rustic for me
Overall, in a pinch, I would stay here again but I would bring my ear plugs.

Great customer service...each of the employees did everything they could to meet our needs. Very impressed.
Our family of four stayed in one of the lower suites facing the pool that has a kitchen, pullout couch, and bedroom. The extra space was nice for our extended stay.
We used the communal bar-b-que which gave us a break from restaurants.
I'd recommend staying in one of the inside rooms as I'm guessing the ones closer to the street might be noisier.
The pool was great for the hot weather.
The continental breakfast was very basic but welcome.
If you are looking for a clean, basic, mid-range hotel with good customer service close to Disney yet away from the chaos this is a great choice.
We'd definitely return.

Whomever rated this anything other than a 2 has got to be kidding. Are your standards that low? I will give the hotel this much - the room was clean and the amenities were fine.. Other than that. I heard every noise from the surrounding rooms. The Street Noise was horrendous. And the Birds!! - They need some cats to prowl..
The front desk was unable to give me directions from 2 blocks away. The street sign for the hotel is mostly blocked by trees in one direction and the big Semi-Trailer trucks like to park in front. In the morning - their was a sig alert(Massive Traffic Jam)on the 5 North at the 91 Fwy. I asked if I get on the 5 North at E. Lincoln (Hotel is on same street) will I pass the 91 - Front Desk answered No - Low and Behold I got caught in the Traffic Jam - 91 Was 4 miles north of the on ramp.
Why would ANYONE put a noisy Clock in a room?
I know that you get what you pay for - but I also look for High Rated Hotels that may not cost an arm and a leg - I Completely relied on the Review Ratings and was sadly mistaken - There will no longer be any stays here. And I have to spend 3 weeks in Anaheim..

The Lemon Tree is three miles from Disney/KBF but the peace and quite was worth the $12 parking charge at the amusement parks (you get re-entry rights for the entire day should you have to leave and come back to Disney so it's a one-time fee).
The hotel staff was exceptional, including the maintenance personnel. The pool/spa was great for relaxing after a day at the parks and is located in the center of the property, surrounded by gardens, a Koi pond, fountains, and a picnic area complete with benches and a bar-b-que.
We booked the executive king room, which allowed us to put our kids on either of two sofa beds in the main room while we slept in the bedroom. The room had a full kitchen, allowing us to pack lunches each day (significant savings over lunch at the parks).
There was very little traffic noise, and we were near the front office. The continental breakfast was limited, but sufficient to get you to lunchtime. There was also hardly any noise heard from other guests and, unlike some hotels nearer the parks, the Lemon tree was not overrun with unruly/unsupervised children.
The Lemon Tree is a five-minute walk from a strip mall, which includes several restaurants, a drug store, and a grocery store, and a ten-minute drive from "The Block"...a large mall. Freeway access is a snap, and the trip to LAX (off-peak traffic) was less than 45 minutes.
We will stay here again if our travel plans include Anaheim.
