We just returned from 4 nights at Brighton Suites. The location is perfect - 1.5 blocks from the beach, 1 block from the Avenue, 2 blocks from Funland. The sun umbrella, towels and beach chairs are a huge help and saved us from packing a lot more. The room needed some work - noisy a/c, mold in bathroom, wall paper peeling off, old carpets, dark rooms... The beds are small and most uncomfortable. Cleaning staff did a good job, plenty of refreshed towels. Hotel is a good value for the space. Covered parking is also included.

Customer Service - NOT HERE
We stayed at the Brighton this week as they were recomended by sports at the beach baseball. We stayed with the team. This is a very nice hotel in a great location only 1 block from the beach. They provide beach chairs and towels which most hotels around there do not. The room was clean but old. We had a double bed suite that slept the 5 of us just fine. Fridge and coffee maker in the room and nice cold a/c.
The pool is the smallest I have ever seen, they had off street parking which was nice. The people that work in this hotel were nasty, I mean nasty. Customer service was never a thought in their minds. No matter what your need is they just didnt care. It made a relatively nice stay seem horrible.

Stayed here on a weekend value package. Room rate was about $160/night, which I believe was not bad considering the rooms are full suites. The kids slept on the pullout sofa bed in the front room, which also held an armoure, a table, and a sink area with full cabinets. The back room had a king bed and armoure. Both areas were well-furnished. We also had two 25" tv's and two dvd players.
The rooms were nice, clean, and quiet for the most part. We did hear some noise at night from the parking lot behind our building. This would not be totally unexpected considering the hotel is located in town. Location is great, within walking distance to everything important including a few corner grocery stores.
One complaint would be the floor, which was thin carpet on top of concrete. Our one-year old fell a few times, and really could have hurt himself. Walking around barefoot was even a little uncomfortable. I would recommend placing some padding under the carpets to make things more comfortable.
Also, the bathroom was small and could use some updating. There was a heatlamp (for winter use, I guess) but no real working fan so the room would steam up with each shower. The athroom could use some freshening up but served the purpose. A wall-unit hairdryer was included, but not very effective if this important to you.
Overall, the staff was very friendly and made us feel at home. We did have one problem with the smoke alarm going off in the room. Management attempted a resets which failed, so they wound up replacing the unit. We took a walk and the job was completed upon our return. Luckily this occurred at 2pm as opposed to 2:00 in the morning.
Also, to improve the guest experience, add an outside shower to rinse off sand would be appreciated. Good value for the money.

If you are looking for a clean hotel, this is not the one. I am really surprised by the people who reviewed this hotel and said that it was clean. It was not I would not like to see how they live.IIt was a ripoff for 159 per night we spent. I just had the hibbyjibbies the whole time I was there. The bathroom curtain liner was covered with mildew there was snot in the tub-yes I said snot-a large piece which I was appalled and disgusted to see in the middle of the shower. The place was truly disgusting. I will never stay there again. Upside-close to everything-short walk to the beach-and free parking-downside really really trifling
