It is hard to rate the hotel, because we had a sad experience there. We booked a double room, three months in advance. We receive room 103, a very small room with no chair, no table (and no place for them), with two beds - one of them with wheels. In bathroom the shower without any courtain, without any support for soap, towels or clothes. Then, we noted that our friends who booked the same room type as us have a normal room, I asked at reception to receive at least one chair, but without result! Then I saw that on the door is specified the type of the room "single". At the reception they tried to convince us that Asiaroom booked for us the room 103, and only after many nerves and insistences we receive a normal double room. This was perfect for us and conform with what we paid for. However, here the refrigerator was defective, they could not repair it three days (weekend plus one more day) and did not want to replace it with a good one, so only in our last day we had the refrigerator. The breakfast is good, the hotel is clean and has a very good location. Without our this bad experience, I would recommend it and I would return there. But , after what hapens, no !! I asked also for a compensation for what happens, and of course that I did not receive anything, even not an excuse!

I was afraid, that this moderately priced 3-star hotel has small rooms and tidiness may suffer. I was wrong. Hotel is clean and has average size rooms. But what is the best - Genius Downtown has absolutely superb loction. Walking distance from Duomo and Caderna railway station (to Malpensa airport). Quiet street near main street. We booked this hotel by E-Bookers. Their rating: 3 stars. Unfortunately we found it more like 1 star hotel. Hotel was dirty, electric wires were hanging from the ceiling, breakfast was poor, waitress serving breakfast was rude and sour. And the room was not any better. It was cold, windy, dirty and miserable. Bed clothing was dirty and some 20 years old. There were also some positive features like location of the hotel, just couple of blocks from the downtown. Also recepcionists were helpful and polite. Stay away if you do not want to spent your nights in "a cow- house". But a perfect place if you just want to store your luggage away from rain and shine.
