At the end of our weeklong car tour of Sicily, we decided to forgo Palermo and just spend one night near the airport prior to flying home. I found this hotel online and booked 1 night (2 rooms for our family of 4). Therefore, I did not have high expectations. I just needed a place to sleep before leaving. We found the hotel with no problems using our GPS. Check-in was fine with no issues. The outside of the property is very attractive. We were shown to our rooms (which were huge) immediately and helped with luggage. I have to say, these have to be the ugliest hotel rooms I have ever seen and I've seen a LOT. . I won't even bother to describe it, just take my word. Please don't trust the **** rating this place has. I'm not sure how that rating is determined. **** places typically don't have surly staff members taking drags on cigarettes outside the main entrance to the hotel. Back to the rooms-- I think there were a total of three 10 watt bulbs in the entire room. There was a big sliding door which lets in a lot of sunlight in the day; however, at night, it is very dismal. Our sliding door would not lock and we had to get a staff member to come help us. He spent a good 10-15 minutes tring to figure it out himself (!). Once locked, we vowed not to open it for the rest of the time. We did eat dinner in the restaurant because we did not wish to go back out on our last night. It was acceptable, though not good and I would not go back. There is a lot of noise transfer between rooms so if you stay here, I hope your neighbors are quiet folks. We did manage to get a good night's sleep which is what we wanted. Oh I forgot to mention there is free soft porn (seriously) on the TV so make sure your kids don't try to watch cartoons. To me, that is distasteful and a sure sign of a hotel's desperation. I think this place caters mostly to locals looking for a place for wedding receptions/parties, etc. (folks who need space for a lot of people to meet and/or stay) If you are a tourst, use it for a one night stay before flying out only. We were in the off season so did not try to the pool. Also, on one side of the property there must be 100 barking dogs so I hope you don't stay on that side. Good luck

We picked this hotel via their own website which was very impressive.This was true for the accomadation but we found the staff non-helpful and at times rude to the point of making you feel guilty for asking for a drink.Some of the ammenites are also mis-leading i.e. private beach(no)location(varies from different web-sites).Lovely hotel shame about the staff..

We had an early flight from Palermo and were sent to the Magaggiari by nearby Florio Park Hotel, which was closed already (October). We found the Magaggiari convenient for an overnight stay, the room was large - not at 4 star level though! But the place IS close to the airport (10 minutes by car), and except from starting airplanes it was quiet, as it was already off-season, and no family celebrations (see other review) took place. Other guests were either flight personnel or early flyers. At night, the resort looks very nice, illumination is beautiful, as well as the pool, and scent of jasmin is in the air. Breakfast sucks, indeed. But: dinner was EXCELLENT!! From a reduced off-season menu, at an overall price of 25 Euro, we had some of the best food throughout our entire sicily trip. Juicy Palermitan Beefsteak, Fresh Mussles, Pasta, Grilled Chicory, everything was absolutely fine. The waiter was competent and friendly too. Really great! This is not a hotel to stay a long time, but for a stopover, it's perfect.

Aus beruflichen Gründenbin ich bereits 3 Monate hier und es sollen noch weitere 3 Monate sein. Die Anlge selbst ist sehr schön und erst etwa 1 Jahr alt. Das Problem besteht darin, das das Hotel nur wenige hundert Meter vom Palermo Airport entfernt ist. Die Fenster eher einer minderwertigen Qualität entsprechen und es dadurch auch zur starken Lärmbelästigung durch Fluglärm das ganze Jahr über kommt. Weitaus schlimmer ist, das im Sommer jetzt sehr viele Feste (Gegurtstage, Hochzeiten etc.) gefeiert werden. Diese gehen meißt bis nach 02:00 Uhr nachts mit Livemusik und mit Feuerwerk gegen 01:00 Uhr nachts daher. Für Festlichkeiten ist das Hotel ideal, aber als Hotelgast eine absolute Zumutung. Sie haben keine Möglichkeit dem Lärm zu entgehen, da die Zimmer um den Pool verteilt sind. Es gibt nur sehr wenige Hotelgäste hier, so das vielleicht auch deswegen keinerlei Rücksicht genommen wird. Da nur wenige Gäste im Hotel sind, wird auch öfters die Klimaanlage abgeschaltet, wohl um Geld zu sparen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ein Witz. Brötchen, Marmelade, Honig, Nutella, Yogurt und ein paar Pfirsische aus der Dose. Käse oder etwas Salami nur nach "betteln" erhältlich, aber auch nicht immer. Das Personal ist teilweise sehr freundlich, aber auch teilweise sehr unfreundlich. Speisen im Restaurant sind gut, aber so gut wie keine Auswahl und nach dem dritten Tag wiederholt sich alles. Es wird unbedingt ein Auto benötigt, da es zum nächsten Ort, Terrasini oder Cinisi etwa 20 Gehminuten sind und die Strße für Fußgänger viel zu gefährlich ist. Die beworbenen Angebote sind teilweise falsch. Es gibt kein Internetanschluss durch das Hotel. Keinen eigentlichen Garten, nur ein paar Büsche an den Gebäuden. Die angegebenen 18.000qm sind zum größten Teil eher eine Müllhalde, stört aber nicht, da sie weiter vom Hotel entfernt liegt. Es sind weit mehr als 7 km zum Airport, da man um den Airport herumfahrenmuss um zum Terminal zu gelangen. Über die Autobahn eher 18 km.
