We have just returned from a really enjoyable week at the Hotel Sunset in Rimini.
We booked the hotel via an Italian website as we couldn't seem to find half board on UK websites.
The room was a very spacious (by Italian standards) double and had a bathroom with room for two, our last Italian hotel barely had room for one!!
Our third floor room was newly refurbished with modern furniture and had a balcony and a great seaview, as we were a bit up from the street it wasn't noisy.
Our first morning breakfast had a wide choice together with loads of boiled and fried eggs and sausages as they thought that was what the English ate, we told them not to bother after the third day and had a much lighter affair.
For the first three evenings the restaurant in the hotel was closed and so they provided a voucher to use at a nearby restaurant Libeccio which looked after us very well, we were a little worried after eating out what the Hotel food would be like - we needn't have worried as apart from some of the descriptions, one translated as (portfolio of italian meats) the food was first class.
The staff were as friendly and helpful as was humanly possible and we would be happy to return
Cost halfboard £225ppn for 7 nights included sunbeds and umbrella on Giovanni's strip, who was also a really jovial chap - is everyone in Rimini on the happy pills
