We stayed 3 nights at this 3 star hotel after reading attractive descriptions in the internet. The reality was horribly different.
We found the hotel to be shabby, dirty and unattractive. Maid service was minimal, the furniture and carpets in the room were stained and damaged. The bed was clean and the bathroom adequate but I would never stay there again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. We paid $240 for the 3 nights - a monstrous sum for what was on offer.
The hotel was used to house refugees during the 1990s and was reputedly completely refurbished afterwards. Don't you believe it! We felt like refugees ourselves and were glad to leave the place.
A tolerably adequate buffet breakfast was on offer, but not up to the standard of international tourist hotels. My advice: spend a bit more and choose a better hotel than this one.

Having stayed at the over-priced Sheraton on previous visits I asked my hosts to find a more reasonably priced hotel.
At first glance the I Hotel didn't impress; the lobby is fairly dull although all the staff speak excellent English and are very helpful. My two room suite costs around €40 per night and is perfectly clean, tidy and functional. Much nicer than the Mexico City Airport hilton I stayed in last month at 4 times the price!
Food is fairly good if heavy (a bit of a regional speciality!). Location not great; nothing is walkable, but if you have a car most businesses and tourist sites in the city are 10 to 15 minutes away.
I'll be back.
