After reading some of the reviews on this hotel we were apprehensive as to what we would find, so it was a pleasant surprise to discover a good hotel with all the usual facilities and a quiet and comfortable room. On arrival (late at night) we asked for a quiet room and were given no. 502 (I can definitely recommend this one as it is on the quiet side of the hotel, not facing the main road). The room was of a good size and quite well equipped but there is no tea or coffee making facilities. A good idea to take your own if you want this. The bus service into town is frequent, no.22 and stops quite close to the hotel. It takes about 15 minutes to Moska Ter (you will know you are there when you see the yellow trams and other buses, also McDonalds and Panasonic). Public transport is free if you are over 65 and you don't need a pass. Trams, metro and buses are all very frequent and you don't have to wait long for anything. I would recommend taking the no. 10 bus (leaving from Moska Ter - you have to go up the steps and turn left) to the Old Town - just a short trip - where there is a Tourist Information office. We found this very helpful and the staff speak good English.

Hotel Rege
Guest name: nigel57, Exminster Exeter devon
I booked for ten nights on a bed and breakfast basis at the hotel
and it was as i have come to expect.
the reception staff were very obliging even ordering a pizza to be delivered after my very late arrival. As the hotel was fairly quiet the venue for Breakfast changed three times and was always well stocked. The room was large enough with two single beds and was cleaned and the towels replenished daily and contained a mini bar but no snacks were available in the room.
This is a 3star hotel twenty minutes from the centre by a frequent bus service ,with a basic restaurant menu and a limited bar in the foyer . Well worth the money.

Our room at the Rege was fine and it was serviced on a daily basis. Generally the hotel was tidy and clean.
However, this hotel is a long way from the main tourist area. Although the number 22 bus runs just outside, it only goes to Moscow Terrace and further transport is then required to get close to the sights which most people wish to see.
I should mention also that neither the bar or shop were open at any time during our stay.

this is a terrible place. If you have a room with street view, you can sleep until 06.00. It sounds as if the cars run through your room.
The bath room was a catrastrophe. No soap, shower broken, soft plastic shields broken, etc.
The room was not vacuum cleaned in 11 days! Dust not taken off etc.
My collegues had similar problems, even the rooms were not done.
Stay away from this place! The service is really bad.
