We came to Salzburg for one night's accommodation. Admittedly we booked this hotel only one night before we checked in. When we arrived we discovered that the star ratings for hotels in Austria are obviously different to those we are used to elsewhere in Europe. The room was really very tired looking, but on the positive side everything was functional and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very extensive and the choice was excellent. This was a real plus point for us.
The hotel was very conveniently located near to the Mirabel gardens as well as all the local bus connections.

We arrived to a very pleasant and quaint hotel in salzburg. We had several rooms for our traveling group. (4 rooms ).
I had one of the larger suite rooms and it was very nice. All of the rooms were nice, some much smaller than others. Man at the front desk was very nice and happy to help in every way. It is close enough to walk to everything.
The only negative is there is no air conditioning. This is hard when it is very hot like it was when we were there. The gentleman downstairs gave us fans and we opened the windows of course, but there is street noise and cafes that stay open late. This was hard for me to get to sleep. Other than that, we would definitely stay there again. It is not a 4-5 star hotel in my book, but definitely a very nice and clean hotel to stay in.I would only stay there again, if it were in spring, fall or winter. In summer, I need a/c.

I was very pleased with my stay at the hotel. I had booked a family room and it was big and comfortable. The furniture was a little worn out but nothing that could really bother. The location is wondeful, just by Mirabell Garden and we just walked everywhere in Salzburg .
The room, although facing the street was extremely quiet and clean. The buffet style Breakfast was quite good _ you should definetely try austrian yoghurts _ with good variety of bread and stuff, but the hotel could be more efficient in restocking items. Apparently, when something finishes , that?s it.
The service was 6 stars! Helmut, the person in charge of the Concierge could?t be more gentle and helpful. Recommended us to restaurants, found us a free parking space, gave directions and everything you can think of. I had a problem with my credit card company and he gently called Brazil to help me . I also forgot at the hotel a poster and some souvenirs I had bought in Italy ( and only realized that 10 days later) and Helmut made them reach me at the other side of the Atlantic, in Brazil. When in Salzburg, I will definetely stay there again.

I stayed at Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten with my mum in April.
I thought the hotel was very comfortable, although the fixtures and fittings could do with some updating, but everywhere was absolutely spotless at all times. In fact Salzburg in general was very clean and tidy - and very beautiful!
Breakfast was mostly continental with a few sausages, and a bit of bacon and scrambled egg if you were up early enough. Although there was plenty of choice of bread, fruit and cereal etc for the later risers.
The thing, or rather person, that stood out for us at this hotel was Helmut on reception. You couldn't ask for anyone more helpful. He booked us trips, gave us information about the area, and when we returned he was interested as to what we thought and how we got on. We were only staying for 3 nights and 2 full days, so this information was even more helpful, as we didn't want to waste any of our time in Salzburg.
We really enjoyed our trip to Salzburg and if we ever make a return trip there, we would likely stay at Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten again.

This was a great place to stay while we hung around in Salzburg over Christmas! The staff was very helpful and friendly and spoke English very well when needed!! We were greeted by the front desk staff late at night on our arrival and offered Punsch and Christmas cookies. In the room there was a complimentary bottle of Christmas wine, apples, oranges and cookies! The rooms are small but no smaller than we expected, and nothing that is a real problem. The location was really good; easy walking distance to Mirabell Square, and to the Old City. The only negative thing to say was that the mattresses probably could be changed soon (a bit lumpy after a while!) and a few more pillows would have been really nice too.
