We were a drive up and got a double queen room in the newly opened "C Suites" section of the property. Had no complaints at all other than they could number the rooms in the manner we are all accustomed to i.e. C2013 (or similar) to signify the 13th room on the 2nd floor of the C portion of the property. We had key 113 and had to find our own way - not real intuitive. Don't let that detract you though, I would recommend the property - clean, well maintained & appointed, friendly staff and it's only a 10 minute walk, from anything that you'd want to look at, in downtown Cairns.

Staff on site were very helpful in providing assitance, but the hotel itself was a little tired, and the pool is very small. Although only 10 minutes to the ocean its a good 20 minutes to the restuarants - and be warned they stop serving at 21:30. A good stop over for a reasonable price - but nothing special.

Stayed here for three nights and found it adequate. Away from the main drag and on a busy road , pool was pretty rubbish and staff werent exactly over the top in customer service. Restaurant was cute i suppose but all in all another example of getting what you pay for !
