On arriving at the hotel we had to navigate around some men cleaning and some men moving furniture to and from the hotel, but upon entering through the restaurant me and my girlfriend were quite impressed with the look and feel of the place.
After this it went down hill, we were greeted by a harsh sounding Polish woman who demanded a deposit, but did not tell us more than that, she then gave us our keys and that was it, no information about breakfast, or where to go to get to the room.
We took the first lift we saw to floor four, which turn out to be incorrect as most of the floor appeared to be closed off, so we had to wonder the hotel looking for a way to get to our room.
Upon entering the room (Double Room Luxe) there were two single beds pushed together, which I always find annoying but come to accept that this appears to be the way in European Hotels. But what I could not accept was the smell of smoke in the room, and the smell was worse on the bed and pillows, there was even a cigarette burn in the duvet!
After informing the reception they told us it was a non-smoking room, which after seeing the burn mark and smelling the smoke I disagreed with! We were moved to another room on the same floor, which still smelt of smoke but not as much, we came to the conclusion that it must be the maids that smoke and left it at that.
The room itself was quite large, and the bathroom looked very nice, but the shower kept running hot and cold for the whole weekend and it wasn't until the third day that the towels were changed.
The breakfast they provided was very good, a large range and something to please almost everybody.
The location was great as well, just a couple minutes walk from the main square, however there was quite a bit of noise from people on the street and in the hotel on Sat and Sun night.
My last negative point is the confusion of cost, this may be conversion etc but it was a little annoying being told different figures all the time. It ended up being slightly more expensive than we thought, but not that much so.

My husband and I booked to go to Wroclaw for a long weekend break through Ryan air and Ryanair hotels..the reason we chose Wroclaw was because it was cheap and we could fly direct from East Mids to Wroclaw itself. We were a little dubious and people asked 'why are you going to Poland?'...but we knew we would have a good time just being in each others company for 4 days with no pressures of work, kids etc anyway...(aah!)
The hotel was beautiful, staff were very pleasant, the sauna, jacuzzi and small but deep pool were an added bonus..we would go for relaxation and a dip every evening.
The breakfast was gorgeous, croissants, toast, yogurt, fruit, cereals, sausages egg and beans...beautiful. Our room was a deluxe room with a large king sized bed and a view onto Mary Magdaleni church. The room was kept clean and was spacious and airy.
Now as for Wroclaw itself...well it was amazing!! Yes the glorious weather helped but the city is beautiful, the architecture is out of this world and we sat in the square and had lunch on several occasions watching the world go by and observing the street artists and the fashions. Wroclaw is a University city and so is populated by young people (myself and hubby are 37 and 42) and we went in the pubs and sat outside them in the evenings and into the early hours of the morning (!) and we loved it...didn't feel old at all. The beer was great, cheap too and the food was cheap.
We ate at Acropolis one night (Greek) and had a lovely meal.. then we found a home-cooked Polish food place in the guide books (frequented by Students) called Kurna Chatta and there was no turning back,.. the wondrous meals were so cheap we thought we'd ordered 2 starters and 2 Main Courses but actually had ordered 4 mains!! Now some of the menus are in Polish only so it can be a little difficult to navigate around the menus but some are in English too. Beware Polish dumplings are not what we would think... they seem to be sort of raw pastry and a bit gelatiney! Different to what we would imagine but worth a try. Their Sawerkraut was to die for!!
We visited the church Ostrow Tumski and the war museum, we walked and walked during the day. We went to the River Odra . There were a couple of Stag Partys...one was in our hotel...they could be a little noisy but not offensive in any way and one saturday night in the hotel bar at 1.30 am we joined them for a couple of bevvies and met some lovlely blokes and had a laugh till 3.30 am!..if you can't beat em!!
All in all We had great fun... it's a fun vibrant city and we loved it! Just up our street! We've done Prague, we want to do Rome but I think in October for our next weekend break, we will more than likely return to (hopefully) Room 318 of the Qubus Hotel in Wroclaw!

What a fantastsic hotel with wonderful staff.
we were in a crowd for my stag do and were a little bit unsure as to how the hotel would accept us. they welcomed us and were very friendly.
the hotel itself is lovely, all the rooms were spacious and clean with nice little minibar. the swimming pool and jacuzzi were an added bonus and were very refreshing after a few beers at night!!
the breakfast was very nice with various different choices hot and cold.
as for Wroclaw, what a lovely city and loads of nice bars to drink in and around the square, the price of drink is very cheap, about ?1 - ?1.50 in the square, and a bottle of vodka in the clubs cost ?20!!!! unbelievable compared to back home.
We had a fantastic time there and hope our party didnt keep to many other guests up at night!!!

As an American w/no Polish language skills, this hotel was recommended by a local. Good call. Room is spacious with many amenities such as slippers, sew repair kit, fridge. Across the street is a church (worth climb to top of church) and no the bells did not ring at all hours. Floor was quiet. Hotel is secure as you need a keycard to access elevator. 24 hr free internet (2 computers).
Hotel is 1 block from a grocery store/shopping complex (so can stock fridge and avoid hotel food charges). Also 2 blocks from square--where there are several microbreweries and restaurants of all styles-excellent food and drink. This is the place in the city you want to spend nighttime in. Makes going out enjoyable--two blocks to eat and drink and 2 blocks back to hotel--straight line. Only disappointment was hotel bar--closes early and has 1 beer selection. Would definitely stay here again. Warning for this city: Do NOT take cabs off the street--if you need a cab call for one. Many cabs on the street "look" ok but will overcharge you excessively.
