I loved the design and staff at this hotel. It's super modern, hip and luxe. The staff is very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The pool is also gorgeous. I highly recommend the Dream Hotel. On the downside, the location is a bit strange and is near a big red light area (though not THE red light area). I also found prices at the restaurant and lounge to be as expensive as any 4 star hotel in Los Angeles, so I recommend venturing out for cocktails. If you want to hang out with the locals and not with the tourists, take a cab to the super hip RCA district. For shopping, I highly recommend the weekend market (get off at the Mo Chit station... how can you forget that!). Try and stay away from ping pong in Patong and you'll have a nice time.

An oasis in the city!

We booked this hotel as as 1st and last night treat, between which we travelled around Asia for a few weeks. And were we glad!
After a long and stressful trip, first arrriving at Dream (after being royally ripped off by a meter taxi - this happened a lot!) it felt like heaven!
Staff were absolutely exceptional and very very helpful. Room was very very clean and comfortable with lovely "extras" such as a bowl of fresh apples, fresh made biscuits with the turn down service. We found the toiletries to be very good quality too with free bottles of drinking water supplied daily. I personally found the bed to be extremely comfortable. Breakfast was included with our room (book on Hotels.com for around ?70 a night - i'm positive this isn't as cheap as it gets) and was delicious. If not included in your room price, however, I would give it a miss unless money is no object. 600baht for a very large breakfast which could include juice, tea/coffee/fresh fruit, omelettes, noodles, all sorts. The spa is also very expensive compared to others in the area.
On returning after 3 weeks, the staff remembered us and greeted us like old friends. Out on Sukhumvit, it is very much hustle and bustle but Dream does feel like an Oasis. I would definitely book dream for any future stays in Bangkok.
Highly recommandable hotel in Bangkok

This is one of the best hotels I've been in Bangkok. Very convenient position (next to a Skytrain stop and the underground), in Suukhumvit, a lively and pleasant area of Bangkok.
Staff extremely friendly and welcoming, very nice and clean rooms that are a sort of "oasis" in the middle of chaotic Bangkok. The style of the hotel is particular but pleasant, rooms are modern and well equipped - comfortable beds, high speed wireless connection, well working air conditioning. I liked very much the blue lighting that gives a nice atmosphere.
It was really pleasant getting back to the hotel room after a day browsing around.
I will for sure choose again this hotel for my next trip to Bangkok.

This is a fantastic hotel in a great location.
Stayed in the Dream for 2 nights before moving on and it was perfect. The rooms are well equipped and spacious.
Breakfast was a little formal (and could do with a little improvement).
The roof top bar and pool are fantastic and great to unwind in after a long hot day.
Only complaint is that we asked the hotel to book us a cab to the airport for 4:45am and the cab we got tried to scam us. I'd expect a hotel of this class to be more selcetive about the cabs they use.
