The hotel is about a mile from the city center. The walk is nice and takes you through a residential neighborhood that is well kept and pleasant. The hotel itself is a bit older but clean. The room was clean and overlooked the back lawn. The staff was very helpful and provided information and maps for the area. The breakfast buffett was also very nice. A wide variety of food that was surprising compared to breakfast buffett's found in the U.S.
I would recommend this hotel for your stay. Its quite, located in a nice area, close to the city center and has a great staff.

Don't be fooled by the ad photos of Hotel Caruso. The real deal is nowhere near as nice...
Though the complex is fronted by a castle-like tower, the rest of the hotel is comprised of an ugly "modern" building that features hideous fluorescent lighting, and finishings that look like they haven't been updated since the early 1980s. The Caruso could definitely use a face-lift. (And the owners would be wise to hire an interior designer this time around!)
I found it a little suprising that the hotel didn't live up to the standards of its otherwise excellent sister hotels (part of the Austria Hotels International chain). Though the rooms are large for European standards, the furniture is shabby and the bathrooms are sub-standard. You could do much better for around the same price...
The location is far from the town center, and located in a residential neighborhood of mostly private houses. So if you don't have a car, that's another thing to consider...
In sum, stay at this hotel only if nothing else is available. It's not terrible, but there is absolutely nothing to recommend it either.
