We stayed at Hotel Centro the first week of July. We thought the room was more than adequate for what we paid. The room was clean and a good size. Two beds were put together to make a king bed. The bathroom was quite big. I was concerned about this before we arrived and I was pleasantly surprised. Just had a shower, no tub. But we wouldn't have used a tub. The location was good. Only a few blocks from the main train/metro station. (Termini) And a block up from the Piazza Republica. We hardly used the metro at all as most things are in walking distance. And Rome is a place where you're going to do a lot of walking. The breakfasts were basic. Coffee/tea, juices, pastries, cereals, hard boiled eggs, breads, salami and meats, yogurt, fruit. Tip: as the attendant to make you a cappuccino. It is so much better than from the little coffee machine. We were there for a whole week and didn't have any complaints about the room or the hotel. The room was cleaned everyday. The staff were all friendly and had no problems speaking english to us.

This Hotel was great. We stayed one night before our Cruise & one night after. We had different rooms on each occasion & both were roomy with lounge, plenty of room for luggage, nice seperate bathroom, good water pressure in shower, nice big windows that opened. Excellent location, we walked everywhere, very helpful friendly staff, would reccomend to anyone.

This place is central located near the train station but just in front of the hotel there are many homeless slepping from late afternoon to the next morning. The decor of the hotel is a bit tired . Our room was small with no english Tv channel and the bed was not that confortable. The breakfast was more poor than basic and the coffee was horrible. The staff is helpfull and speek english.

We ended up at Hotel Centro after an overbooking somewhere else, but what a great little place. Rooms were a good size and very large bathrooms by european standards, with a nice private balcony off the room which was great. This Hotel is in a good location, close to several major attractions and beside one of the main shopping Streets, Via Nazionale. Taxi fares to some main attractions were between 8 to 15 Euro, very resonable, and sometimes very fast!! Staff were excellent, spoke excellent English and could not do enough to help you with inquiries, bookings etc, all very good, Had some laughs trying to open bottles of wine, as the Hotel only seemed to have one bottle opener (Cork Screw), but overall a very good quality, value for money Hotel, in good location, run by very professional and helpful staff. Our family of 6 persons stayed here in May 06. Through the hotel, we arranged a taxi to meet us at the airport and take us right to the hotel. It is conveniently located near public transport stations and great little restaurants. We had 2 large triple rooms with big bathrooms. Breakfast was great and the staff were very very nice and helpful with everything. A true gem in Rome and a great value for families. Highly recommend
