Absolutely perfect!! Staff lovely, accomodation perfect, setting 5*.
We hired a car and were supposed to travel around but we found the pool so relaxing and peaceful, that we stayed there all day!!
Bit of a walk into town, 10 mins in, 20 back (up hill) but the resort is perfect, small but with ample beach and restaurants, totally what we were after with us both working in busy London and Cala Gonone is just wonderful.
We went onto Alghero after 4 nights here and it felt as though we had arrived in Benidorm. Although we love Alghero old town and had been there before, travelling from there from ot break in Cala Gonone was like walking into another world. A stressful one!!
Cala Gonone - very very chilled and we will definitely go back - 4 days felt like 4 weeks and I don't want to go back to work tomorrow!!

This hotel is clean, pleasant, friendly, modern and excellent value. It is a little 'stark' in the way of all Italian resort hotels but the charming staff more than make up for this. We recommend it highly. Our only slight disappointment was with Cala Gonone itself - it's a somewhat scruffy thriving seaside resort but we even succumbed to its slightly rundown charms and enjoyed our stay a lot. The Gulf of Orosei is spectacular and we recommend a boat trip. We paid ?103 per night for a standard double with garden view (all we could get) and would happily pay more for a balcony and sea view.

A very nice and quiet hotel at the edge of the village, with only modest traffic. Sheep are more noisy...Comfortable and clean rooms, but only downside are the thin walls that makes you hear much of the bathroom noises from the neigbours.
Beautiful scenery and architecture make up for this, together with very helpful and friendly staff who speak reasonable English and better German. Kitchen ok with some typical local dishes, all freshly prepared.
Hotel attracts almost no familes with small childeren, so we had a very quiet time for two weeks in June.
As the hotel is on the slope of a rather steep mountain, a car is recommended to get to the village. No beaches in walking distance, but very good one is within 5 minutes drive. Richard and Ronald Schuurman - The Netherlands
