If you are looking for a relaxing holidays on Garda Lake and you cannot afford a five star, go to Hotel du Parc. Quality/Price is excellent: huge balcony with stunning view, huge room and bathroom (for Italian standard). Clean garden and swimming pool. Good breakfast. Very relaxing atmosphere. The service is good, maybe not that warm, but very professional and polite. The restaurant is great! The position is excellent. It is near Sal? center, where you can find superb shops and the ferry terminal: take a ferry and have a trip to all the little towns on the Garda Lake. I visited some, they are all beautiful, but I think Sal? is the best town for a Lake stay: not that tourist crowd (like in Sirmione) and fine restaurants/shops. You will find the well-known italian brand (Valentino, Prada, etc), but also cute small shops: please visit the "Quartier Chic"! What we did not like: we got a room on the fifth floor and (only on this floor) the balconies of all the rooms have something as an aisle and can communicate. Anyway you have your privacy, 'cause there are large and high walls to divide. The conditioned air did not work during one day. It was one of the first days of warm temperature in Italy and also holiday time: hard to find a technician. I definitely would stay here again, for a short holiday to relax and when I am not looking for a 5* hotel.

Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, well furnished and the en-suite bathroom was stunning. The staff were friendly and welcoming and breakfast was very good.The view over the lake and hotel garden from our balcony was fantastic, just the place to sit and have a drink after a busy day out before heading out for dinner. We loved our stay at this hotel and will recommend it to my friends and family.

This hotel should not be 4 *, here is why; - plaster in the bathroom peeling off - the pool was so murky you could not see the bottom - the breakfast was very basic, have had better at hostels - the waiters are not friendly or helpful - drinks are expensive - steps to the lake are dangerous and rusty - tourist information from both leaflets and hotel staff was poor/non exsistant - the shower was of poor quality and ran hot and cold throughout use - overpriced My partner and I had the most wonderful time staying in Lake Garda but were so disappointed with Salo Du Parc. We had to sleep in a twin room rather than a double as they had made a mistake with the booking, the swimming pool was downright dirty and for two days of the holiday taped off. I found this even more annoying when I saw that next doors pool, also owned by the SDP but run as apartments, was in pristine condition. If you are looking to saty in comfort with a friendly atmosphere DON'T STAY HERE. The only friendly staff in the hotel were the cleaners, who did a grand job, the rest seemed inconvenienced by our presence. This hotel is stuck in the past and thats where it will stay if tey don't buck their ideas up i'm afraid. Just so I don't sound like a real grouch - the view was unreal but you can get that from any other hotel around the whole of LG.

We Stayed at the Salo Du Parc for two nights ,very dissapointing.This Hotel is not 4 star in our opinion ,the view is nice the room was big but the breakfast was the worst we had during our two week stay.We stayed at another 4star Hotel in Malcesine just after the Salo Du Parc ,the difference in quality was amazing and cheaper.The drinks were very expensive in the Salo Du Parc and at 585 euros for two nights for three in a room with no reduction for our 13 year old it is not cheap.In our opinion this Hotel wants a "boot up the backside" so to speak .
