My family and I just came back from our Europe trip. We stayed at 3 different hotels on our two week trip and this by far was the nicest hotel we stayed in. Great location for shopping and we walked to the harbour and ate very well.

I really enjoyed the Golden Tulip! It was right in the middle of the excitment and very nice. It was very European with smaller beds and smaller rooms but still very lovely. A large plus was the front desk agents all spoke English. If I were to go back to Genova I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

In short: problems with the hotel wanting to enter and move my car several times caused me to move it to a public garage in the middle of the night and ruining one night of our honeymoon. pros: nice building cons: parking advertised free (cost 21 EUR), lying staff, "wake up call" in the middle of the night (about our car of course) summary: crazy people, with crazy hotel rules, we had a terrible, stressful stay verdict: If you're with a car stay away from this place

I was there for 3 days around 14th Feb 2008. Its location is excellent (nearby Train and Taxi stops) and so are the facilities. Very friendly staff and good Breakfast. There was free Internet in the room (Ethernet connection). This was a major advantage.

We only stayed at the Golden Tulip in Genova one night before we had to board our cruise departing out of Savona. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to travel by train. It's right across the street from the train station. The staff was friendly and accomodating but the rooms are extremely small. My husband and I had a total of 3 bags of luggage and we had no room to walk without stepping over the bags to get to the door or window or bath. If I had to choose again i would choose someplace with larger rooms.
