We thought this hotel was perfect. It was suggested to us by an Italian friend and really enjoyed it. The location is great - walking distance of everything. The rooms were quite nice and ours had a great balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean. The staff was very friendly and had many suggestions about location restaurants and attractions.

Loved this amazing boutique hotel.

What a great find! Surrounded by gardens, this hotel is an oasis in the middle of bustling Capri. It's just a few minutes walk from the piazzetta - and is convenient to shops and restaurants.
Some highlights:
Rooms: Clean and spotless. Mine (room # 63) had a balcony with a great view over the gardens and on to the hills. Comfortable bed, lots of storage (lockable closets as well as an in-room safe), bathroom was more than adequate, with a great selection of fine amenities and thick towels.
Staff: Friendly and efficient. Knowledgeable about the local area with solid tips on restaurants and sights.
Extras: The pool was wonderful. It was also great to just relax in the gardens. Nice breakfast, too.
When the locals find out where you are staying they almost invariably say "'A Pazziella - what wonderful gardens!"
That says it all!

Why haven't others written reviews of this hotel? It is absolutely fantastic and a super place to stay on Capri!! Perhaps my husband and I found a secret gem?
We stayed at the Hotel A'Pazziella in October 2005. The loaation of this hotel cannot be beat - it is right in the heart of the shops and restaurants and steps from the main square. Despite being so central, it is uber-quiet. It is nestled between the two main shopping streets, and it has gardens and a pool on either side.
We stayed in an end room a few floors up, I believe it was #53 or #55. We had a lot of space in the room including a foyer with a closet, a quite large bathroom with a full bathtub, a king size bed, as well as a large terrace overlooking the sea (in the distance) and neighboring hotels, bldgs. We were very happy with the decor as well- typical Caprese with the blues, whites, and airy feel. The room was very clean - spotless - and had a great assortment of soaps and lotions available to use... not to mention robes and slippers!
The staff was very friendly and multilingual. We arrived early and they were glad to handle our bags and have the room ready for us in no time.
It is so romantic to have your brakfast served to you on you room... they have a good assortment of rolls and jams along with juice and coffee to choose from. The service was punctual as well.
To reach the hotel you can take a taxi and then a porter, or take the funiculare up to the Piazza and if you don't have a ton of bags (we didn't) it is a 5 minute walk through the shopping area (could be embarrassing for some if the luggage wheels are loud!).
A' Paziella is truly a lovely hotel and really expresses the hospitality of Capri. I hope that this review helps you decide to stay here too!
