Dear traveller, please stay away from this rip-off hotel, which is run by a family with highly unethical conduct. The location of the hotel is really good, but this is all there is to this hotel. Otherwise they clearly minimize their effort and maximize their profits, no matter what. The food was awful (and often gone in the morning) and the menues were really strange,- hard to find something that we liked! The service was virtually non-existant since they don't employ enough staff and those who work there have an attitude problem. They speak nothing but Italian, no English, no German so it is hard to make yourself understood. The "suite" we lived in was no suite (which by definition is at least 2 rooms), but an ordinary large room, we were charged 190 Euros per person per night, not offered water, fruit, a hello message or glasses, nothing. We shared a dirty bathroom with broken toilet and missing light and lots of hair from former guests in the bathtub. We for the most time had no soap and no sauna towels in our room and every day they mixed up our beauty items and stuff went missing. But the worst happened on our last day. We were charged so much extra for the room, which was really no suite, that we politely asked for a reduction and asked to speak with the manager, alluding that the bill also had items on it that we had in writing that they should have been included in the rate (internet). The woman and also the manager aggressively refused, said no way and didn't even ask why they were unhappy. Customer orientation? Not here! They even insulted us by saying we had consumed too little and that we wouldn't be up to the 4 star guest level (reminds me of the antisemitic comments to the other reviewer!) When we said we didn't want to pay for something we hadn't gotten the woman immediately threatened to call the police and the police ultimately came!! They opened the room door without asking and forced us to show our passports and when we said no and that the other person would be naked in bed, the police produced handcuffs and wanted to take us to Bozen! I guess and sincerely hope all guests on that floor could listen in on that drama. What a nightmare! This is the most amazing hotel story we ever witnessed. I am a frequent traveller and I have never been forced to pay for something we never got and threatened by the police. Please stay away from this family and enjoy your stay in beautiful Wolkenstein - I personally hope the future of Miravalle is one with different management.

We have just returned from this hotel, and after reading some of the reviews had mixed reservations before we went. But, I am glad I chose this hotel. It was very nice inside, spotlessly clean and very spacious. We had a superior room which was enormous, big bathroom, balcony facing the slopes. Our friends stayed in a standard room and this was also very impressive, lovely wooden floors and spacious. Room was provided with slippers and robes, at no extra charge. Breakfast was adequate and there was no extra charge for eggs that we had in the morning. Evening meal was a bit upmarket for a ski resort, 4 courses, well cooked and nicely presented, lots of effort had gone into it. Obviously, there are some items on the menu that not everyone likes but there was always an alternative on offer (you didn't go hungry). Staff were very nice, in particular Maria and Lorenzo (waiters). Location wise, this is spot on, right on the Dantercepies slope, ski in, ski out. You were able to go up in the gondola and ski over to Colfosco/Corvara quite easily. The area around the hotel was extremely quiet at night. About 5 minutes walk into town. This is our 2nd time to Selva, and if we return again would definately stay here. Highly recommended......

I booked into this hotel with a group of friends for a weeks skiing. The staff were very friendly and helpful (it did help that one of our party spoke Italian) and the rooms clean, spacious and comfortable and well appointed. The sauna and "wellness centre" were very new and efficient. The whole hotel had obviously just been rebuilt and everything worked extremely well without the place seeming too modern and soulless. My only complaint is that dinner promised more than it delivered both in quantity and quality - they seemed to be trying too hard to produce over-complicated dishes when most people would have been happy with simpler food after a hard days skiing. Our comments about this to the management were positively received. Overall a well situated and comfortable hotel for skiiers.

Una delle vacanze piú belle della mia vita! L´albergo é stato ristrutturato da due anni, le camere e i bagni sono grandi e confortevoli, noi eravamo in una standard. A fine soggiorno ci hanno fatto visitare tutte le Family Suite, una piú bella dell´altra, non saprei quale scegliere! E´situato direttamente sulle piste, comodissimo! Il personale efficente e cordiale. La proprietá sempre presente e attenta. Ottima la colazione ma anche la cena che oltre ad un menú di 4 portate con 3 scelte offre un grande buffet di insalate, antipasti caldi e freddi, formaggi e frutta. L´uso del centro benessere é incluso. Il garage é incluso, comodissimo perché collegato internamente. Ci ritorneró volentieri.

We have never returned from a vacation with such bad feeling!!!! The rooms and the location are good, but the food quality and the service require big improvement! There is a big choice of food and the meals names sound attractive (like fillet of beef) but these are only names ... What you get is very far from its name ... The service in the restaurant was good but at reception the behavior was arrogant most of the time and at the end insulting! It's very unpleasant that you should extra add for things such orange juice, scrambled eggs, bathrobes (which located at the same place with towels ...). All extras are not properly exhibited. When we received the bill we had to extra add about 200 euro (!!!), we had no idea about these extras. For example, we have been charged for sharing the room with my sister for our last night when we were going to leave at the middle, charged for additional full room price!!! and this is after we have asked the permission for that without extra charge and were told that this is OK. When tried to talk with the manager - He didn’t want to hear about any compromise. Instead he spoke with us in very rude manner, said anti-Semitic statements regarding the Israels in general and started to threat on us by calling to the police. I don't wish to anybody to end his vacation in such a ugly way!
