Negative points-No kettle, tea coffee equipment in the room
-Air conditioning was broken
-bed sheets had holes(tabacco)
-SCREAMING+ ARGUEMENT AT 3 AM CLEANING WOMAN + HOTEL STAFF)
-room was so hot
Positive points- Coffee was tasty
-cleaness of the room
over all I was so dissapointed with this hotel, I should have chosen other 3 star hotel which was cheaper than this hotel. Their photos showed quite modern and stylish rooms, so I chose this. However this is just 2 star hotel in the end...I would never ever choose..

Good points:
* Location - as mentioned by the previous reviewer, this hotel is close to the train station (maybe 1/2 a kilometre) which was an advantage as we arrived around 9.30pm.
* Presentation - once inside the hotel, both the foyer and individual rooms seem to have been refurbished not long ago. The ensuite bathroom was very slick and clean.
* Reception - the front desk was attended until late evening, allowing us to check in at about 9.45pm after a late flight. We also had a midday checkout time.
* Staff - hotel reception staff were pleasant to deal with and spoke (limited) English.
* Air con - our room did have an air conditioner to dispel that muggy hot air which we encountered frequently in hotels throughout Europe.
Bad points
* Neighbourhood - it did seem like a "dodgy" area; my husband and I genuinely considered the odds of being mugged en route to the hotel.
* Grubby factor - the street where the hotel was located seemed dirty and filled with rubbish, although this may have been due to some sort of market as it was mainly confined to the car park across the road. Also when we arrived there was a police car blocking access to one end of the street.
* Bedding - both our double bed mattress and the pillows were flat and hard
* Appliances - we couldn't find remotes for the tv and air con so had to climb on a wicker chair to turn them on!
* Noise - the room we were allocated was at the top of the first set of stairs. This is close to the escalator, so we could hear the rhythmic clunks and clangs throughout the night. The plumbing from upper floors must have taken a route through our (thin!) walls as we heard every single toilet flush. Despite being quite tired we did not sleep well at all.
* Breakfast - the options were limited, although we attributed this to our early arrival (we turned up right on 7am).
Overall, this hotel was one of the most expensive of our trip and also the most disappointing, especially given the price tag (180 Euros). I would not stay at this hotel again.
Note that I rate this hotel "Ok with problems" and not "Terrible" only because my the interrupted sleep may not have been a problem in a different room so I'll give the hotel the benefit of the doubt.

The hotel is in a relatively good location, as it is near the station, but the place seems a bit dodgy to someone who is a stranger to Milan. The downfalls of the hotel are that: they said we would have a balcony but we didn't; the air conditioning broke down so it made the stay very uncomfortable; the breakfast is rubbish - french toast in plastic packets with no butter; the lift is ridiculously small and claustrophobic - I don't usually have a problem with lifts but I couldnt go in this one, so we had to use the stairs which was annoying. Up sides is that the staff were friendly enough, the place is clean and our room is quite big with a huge bathroom.
