Views are lovely the hotel is very clean and tidy but tired decor throughout ,bedrooms are basic but very clean unfortunately throughout the duration of our stay the air con didn't work at all,.Breakfast was again very basic and there is no other facility for snacks or evening meals ,as for location a car is essential for restaurants and beaches which seem to be somewhat spread about ( certainly restaurants although "mama lattina" located at the bottom of the drive was lovely ).Overall we enjoyed our stay and found some lovely beaches close by.
A quick reference "Porto Cervo" ££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ and some,......,the centre itself completely over inflated for everything from restaurants shopping the works ! This is not a resort where you would find a varied range of restaurants or bars to suit all budgets, we used some of the restaurants approaching this area and had wonderful food for far less money.Lastly September everything starts shutting down especially in Porta Cervo we left 22 Sept and it was like a ghost town.

I've been in valdiola for 1 week and the location is excellent, the view from the rooms are nice, the building it selfe is an interesting place with a friendly staff but the furniture is very poor and bad taste, the breakfast is extremely poor with poor quality, the pool is small but nice but dont have a shower !!!, the rooms have a poor furniture with some uncompreensive details like the water from air conditioning that goes into the middle of the balcony!!! .The surrounding area of the hotel are with an abandoned aspect... In conclusion, it is a bit expensive hotel for what offers,

Likes about the hotel.
The Hotel Valdiola is a beautiful hotel, perfectly located between the beautiful beaches of Cala di Volpe and Long Beach, the nightlife, fantastic restaurants and Porto Cervo Centre itself. The view from the hotel is amazing and will stay with me for a lifetime. The hotel staff were friendly, kind and were always willing to help with advice about the local area, recommending beaches, restaurants etc. We chose Hotel Valdiola for the rate, given it was the only reasonably priced hotel in the area - however, now we have been there - we would return not just for the price, but the all round package. Many thanks - you made my holiday so special.

Yes - the hotel is paired with a restaurant called 'Lithos'. The hotel staff recommended this eatery stating the food was excellent and the restaurant would offer us a discount as we were staying at Valdiola.
Unfortunately, we discovered that the menu was uninspiring, the staff were rude and the service was terrible. The mussels were great however the steak was fatty and overpriced. The waiter messed up our order and served my girlfriend the wrong dish, only to blame her for ordering the wrong thing when we sent it back. The pasta she ordered came back, overcooked, with unripe avocado. Even the coffee was bad at Lithos - the espresso was burnt - a criminal offence for an Italian establishment!
The only saving grace, I presumed, would be the huge discount I would receive for staying at Valdiola. When the bill came back, I was shocked that the discount was 7% which amounted to a grand total of Euro 5 - the price I paid for the overcooked, fatty fries I ate with the overpriced fatty steak. Please, if you stay at Valdiola, do not let them persuade you to go to 'Lithos' - it was the worst meal on our holiday.
