Completely restored during 2002/2003 the hotel C� Formenta is situated at the beginning of Via Garibaldi right in the pulsating heart of Venetian life.
During the renovation, we have been keen to maintain the venetian character of our House, whit elegant furnishings. Additional comfort and convenience is afforded by the modern technology: Every room is air conditioned individually (summer/winter), and has satellite colour television, direct telephone with connection for personal computer, minibar, personal safe and hair dryer. Each floor is serviced by a lift and all the public rooms are air conditioned. Some rooms enjoy a fine view of the lagoon.
Our Staff know how to welcome you with efficiency and courtesy, and show on every occasion our traditional Venetian hospitality.
The Concierge can supply you useful information and a detailed maps for those visiting our beautiful City, recommend you a Restaurant for a romantic Supper or to obtain for you tickets for a Concert of classical music, he may suggest an excursion to the islands of the Lagoon, tempt you with an evening in the " Casino Municipale di Venezia " the Gambling House� In short, to assist you in every way because we want to make your stay in Venice relaxing and unforgettable.

While the location is about a fifteen minute walk from San Marco Piazza, the hotel is located on the main canal in its own small neighborhood. What sets this hotel apart from the many in which we've stayed is the front desk staff. They seem to know all there is to know about Venice, and did a wonderful job of making our stay in Venice all the better. This would be just the right hotel for a first time visitor.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ca' Formenta. The receptionist upgraded our room to one with a view for no charge, and the rooms were good sized for the price and very clean. Location was nice, about a 10 - 15 minute walk from St. Mark's square. Breakfast was good. Really couldn't say a bad thing about Hotel Ca' Formenta. Will definitely stay there again if I go back to Venice.

We are a retired, Canadian couple, and have done a lot of travelling over the years. We loved everything about this hotel - the staff were wonderful and most helpful, the breakfast was great, the rooms were lovely (both decor, convenience, and cleanliness!), the location was good - we wished we could have stayed for weeks! My only suggestion would be - if arriving by vaporetti with luggage - don't get off at the Arsenal vaporetti stop, as it is rather strenuous lugging suitcases over the 2 bridges. If you go on to the next vaporetti stop, ( I think Giardini) you can stroll through the public gardens, turn left, and walk right down Garibaldi street, which is a wide, main thoroughfare. It is a little bit farther, but we found much easier with luggage. We would recomment this hotel highly!

Ca' Formenta is a great little hotel, just 10 minutes away from St Marco's Sq (approx 6 bridges!). Small and personable, with really friendly and informed staff, all of whom speak excellent English. Room was a little small, but very clean with roof terrace. Continental breakfast was good quality and plentiful. Staff stored our bags all day from 9am until 6pm. Wished we had stayed an additional night, but would definitely go back to Ca Formenta.
