Stayed at this hotel in June 2008 on an Italy trip with my son. For the two of us, this hotel was adequate. If I go back with my wife, I would stay elsewhere.
On the positive side, the price was good. The staff was friendly and gave us a good dinner recommendation. Even though the weather was very hot, the air conditioning was very good in our room. The free breakfast buffet was okay. The hotel is very close to the stadium parking lot in case you are driving to Siena. The town is small, so it is a 10 min walk into the center of town.
On the down side, although the outside of the hotel is nice, the inside of the hotel, including the rooms, is very dated. The rooms were drab with poor lighting and old furniture. The beds were not very comfortable. The bathroom is big, but with older fixtures and no shower curtain.
Bottom line, if you are looking for an affordable Siena hotel and not overly concerned with frills, this hotel may be for you. If you are used to luxury, you should look elsewhere.

This hotel is in a great location, safe for a solo traveler and offers breakfast and wireless internet access (euro 5 for 3 hours). The room and bathroom were spacious. However, the bed was very uncomfortable, the maids did not do a good job of cleaning and I was on the first floor with my windows opening up directly onto a busy street. I had requested a quiet room when I booked and again upon check in but was told there was a big group in the hotel and basically, too bad.

Chiusarelli is definitely a hotel to return to

I stayed at Hotel Chiusarelli recently as part of a group of 70 for five nights. We almost filled the hotel. The rooms were scrupulously clean and adequately sized and furnished, though those at the front experienced road noise. Beds and pillows were a bit hard but not unusually so. The lack of lift was a problem for some members of the party, ameliorated by the helpful and willing porter service. Breakfasts were outstanding; fresh and far too tempting, with good coffee available as an "extra". The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The internet connection was a single line, but provided willingly.
They coped with such a large party with good humour and no sign of irritation.
The hotel is very well situated, about as close to the centre as you can get by coach or car, which makes sightseeing easy. It is close to the bus station as well as to superb views across Siena. Definitely somewhere to stay again.

The Hotel is in the heart of the old city. It is beautiful with large rooms and a wonderful tub/shower. we had our small yorkie with us; no problem. Beds were so comfortable. The air is pure. The staff is courteous, helpful, and honest (corrected an error in our bill before we even noticed it). Breakfast was included and very good. Evening meals and wine in the restaurant had good variety and reasonably priced. Nice courtyard in front and extremely convenient parking. Sienna, the town, is friendly, safe and reminds us of our college town. We highly recommend it in the off-season. Taxi cost was reasonable. Took the train from siena to rome..very inexpensive and convenient. Has a huge market nearby and a superb grocery store that reminds of us WholeFoods in the US. Can't wait to return.

This is a very nice hotel in Siena. Our room was clean, spacious and had a view of the football (or soccer) stadium. We were a little surprised how far away the hotel was from the main square (5-10 minutes), but it was a lovely walk. As with most hotels in Siena, there is no parking, but we could park in the stadium parking for a reasonable price. We thought the best part of the hotel was its breakfast. It was extremely hearty and had the best pasteries of any hotel we stayed at.
