We stayed at this hotel for the first time in july 2003 with our 2 months daughter.. so this 4 days stay was some kind of Fellini's amarcord. The resort is beautifully set in a large pine garden. The rooms and suites (we stayed in a juniorsuite with two separate rooms and one large bathroom with a window!) are very well and tastefully appointed . The first time we were in a suite which was even larger with two bathrooms and perfect for families with babies but it did not have 2 separate rooms but the room is huge. Service is outstanding, rooms are cleaned twice a day and the staff is helpful, professional and always smiling. There are two large freeshape pools in a modern design and every inch of the hotel is kept permanently clean.
Breakfast is OK, a large selection of everything even if I regret that they do not offer fresh fruit. But I must confess that according to my taste it could be improved.
The hotel has a contract with a beachclub just in front called la Siesta. The place is nice clean and the food great. We payed 10 EUR per day for an umbrella and three sunbeds which I find not expensive (knowing the prices that are applied in the Versilia).
Yes the position of the resort is not the greatest, from your room you have either a resort view - which is fine- or a view behind - which could mean to an awful old building which is undergoing restoration. But in the Versilia it's very difficult to find a place on the beach with oceanview etc. so I could not complain as the whole resort is worth its 4 stars sup. If you want a better view then go to Sardinia or Sicily!

We stayed here for our last night in Italy so we could spend the day at the beach. They have a deal with the La Siesta beach place and they act like you will get a chair for free but it's a discount. We had to pay cash at checkout which was a hassle. The hotel property is very nice and sort of a cruise boat theme. The pool was very nice. The surroundings around under construction and if you have a room viewing these you may complain. We were blessed with a room that viewed the grounds of the property and we even had a small balcony with chairs. I believe the room was 45. The two places to eat are pricey but the food was good. The breakfast was included with our rate which was nice. If you need to get gas after you leave this place turn right and then look for the Q8. The directions they gave us to the airport were not right. We got lucky and found signs for Pisa and found it. Allow for 30 minutes to get to the airport not 10 minutes like they say. Also if traffic is bad you will want to consider that.

We stayed in a junior suite at the hotel for 10 days in June-July with our two kids and overall we were very happy with it. Staff nice and friendly, gorgeous nature, great breakfast , clean and well-decorated rooms and bathrooms. We were planning to use the gym BUT we never did because of the surcharge of EUR 10-12 PER DAY PER PERSON (depends on the day of the week). I think the hotel's website should clearly state that because we certainly were disappointed.
Another thing that we sometimes were upset about was the service at the pool-side bar but again, you don't have to stay there for lunch, there are plenty of little cafes and restaurants nearby.
Overall, we loved this hotel. The location is great too, so close to Pisa and beautiful hill towns of Tuscany.
