War im Auto mit zwei erwachsenen Kindern unterwegs und wir haben uns dann entschieden, einen Tag in Verona zu bleiben. Wir sind über die Hotelvermittlung auf das Point Sud gestoßen. Es liegt ein paar Kilometer außerhalb, ist aber einfach mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Es liegt in der Nähe einer Autobahn und bietet kostenlose Parkplätze (oder einen Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage). Die Angestellten waren äußerst hilfsbereit und haben uns viele Wegbeschreibungen durch Verona geben können und haben uns sogar ein Zimmer in Padova für die kommende Nacht vermittelt. Der Preis war angemessen und das Zimmer sauber und komfortabel.

Ero in viaggio in auto con i miei due figli e abbiamo deciso, a Bolzano, di fare una scappatina a Verona, dove avremmo trascorso la notte e il giorno successivo. Abbiamo trovato il Sud Point su un servizio di prenotazione di hotel per la città di Verona. Il Sud Point dista qualche km dal centro, ma è facilmente raggiungibile in macchina. Si trova vicino all'autostrada e offre un parcheggio gratuito o un parcheggio custodito a pagamento, se preferirete. Il personale è stato molto disponibile, sia a darci una mano a districarci con le strade di Verona, sia ad aiutarci a cercare un posto in cui stare a Padova per il giorno dopo. La tariffa era conveniente e la camera era confortevole e pulita.

I was traveling by car with my two adult children when we decided at Bolzen to spend the night and next day in Verona. We found Point Sud through to hotel service for Verona. Point Sud is a few km from the center of town,but easily reachable by car. It is near the highway and has free parking (or a paid garage if you prefer). The staff was extremely helpful both in helping us find our way into and around Verona as well as helping us find a place to stay in Padova for the next night. The price was reasonable and the room comfortable and clean.

Travellers: We recently stayed at Hotel Sud. We booked online and were told our room would cost a certain price. Upon arrival our bill was about 12 EUROS more than our quoted price. We paid it because we had already paid for the cab ride out. We were, however told that because it was the hotel's mistake that we would be given a reduced price the following night. Because we were backpacking and on a fixed budget, we thought this was a great idea. Upon check out the 2 days later, they acted as if they had never told us about the reduced price. So, needless to say we paid way too much for an okay hotel. The rooms were clean, and the service was only fair. The other piece of false advertisement (and the only reason we chose this hotel) was because it was advertised to have free internet. We got there just to find out the internet was not working. It would have been really nice to know this because we had to book accomodations for the next following week. This was very disappointing and it put us in a tight spot for the next few days. We questioned the hotel about it and they offered no sort of anything, not even an apology. I would just like to wish everyone happy travels, and be careful when booking a hotel!
