Not a good place to stay

The hotel is situated in a pretty bad neighbourhood. We asked the concierge, if it is safe to walk outside, as opposed to driving. He said it's ok. In reality it was not - lot's of shady individuals loitering outside, with nothing to do. Drugs are being sold almost openly.
The hotel itself was ok. The parking garage is very hard to navigate and they make you leave the car key. Had me in 2 different spots, over the course of one evening. As we were getting into the elevator, some old man (possibly the owner) was fussing around and telling us not to scratch the elevator (like we had nothing better to do).
The room was ok, as well, with a VERY noisy AC. Fairly clean, nothing too special.
Breakfast was bland.
As a summary - would never stay there again and advise against staying there, if you have any intention of exploring anything on foot. If you drive in and drive out - it's ok.

We stayed there two nights. The first night we were given a room on the street and it was unpossible to sleep, very noisy untill two in the morning. The window was in a very bad condition (so you could hear really everything from the street) and the room extremely small and gave us a sense of dirt. The second night we were given a room not facing the street, the room was new and clean but again very very small. The area does not look very safe. We travel to Milan twice per year but I will never stay here again.

Smart hotel in less smart area

Main points:
it has a lift which, having travelled around Italian 3-star hotels for a month, is not a given.
The desk staff speak generally good English.
There is internet access on a sliding cost scale (up to 6 hours for 8 euros) with cabled ASDL access in the rooms or wireless in the foyer - but only if you have a laptop.
There's a decent verandah for sunny days.
Certain rooms have a lot of street noise, others at the back less so.
The bedrooms are very clean and some have baths with a shower attachment rather than just a stand-up shower (room 108, for example).
TV offers the range of Sky Italia fare for free (including movies in Engish).
Breakfast was a buffet, decent enough range but have had better at this level.
Overall, a good bet for the city and opposite a train station serving the centre directly.
Some limited car parking inside and on the street.
