Wonderful stay. We really liked it here.. The reception people were very nice and charming. Thank you for everything ( for the best capuccino and for helping out with our lost bags)

Booked here as I need to park my vehicle which can be a challenge in Florence. Bit of a walk into city but easily doable. Hotel was helpful we booked in early. We had room in wee apartment out the back (new) which was lovely. Some of the rooms we saw inside the hotel bit jaded. breakfast looked good but we missed the times. Would stay here again. Hotel provided parking disc which you pay for per 24hrs

I've stayed at Il Granduca 3 times now. That's the test of a good hotel.You keep going back. Il Granduca is a bed and breakfast hotel run with great attention to its customers by its owner. He is there every morning to see that breakfast is served to your satisfaction.There is a sunny court yard which even in November catches the wonderfully clear autumnal light. It's only a 15-20 minute walk into the Duomo and there are at least 4 buses you can take if you are feeling lazy. What I like above all is the sense that I am warmly welcomed and that the proprietor is proud of his establishment and its reputation for cleanliness, tasteful decor and abundant and varied breakfast fare.Staff at reception are courteous and ready to help you out at all times. I'm a retired high school teacher and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel very highly.

I booked my room with hotels.com and the description was very accurate. My wife and I stayed here for our honyemoon, it's a nice quiet hotel away from all the turists, there is a bus stop about 100 meters away. The breakfast was great; cereal, coffe, toast, croisants, and diffrent flavors of juice. The gentleman in the morning was very friendly and helpful with coffe and service. The room was lovely, very quiet and comfortable with shades that kept the sunlight out. The bed was very comfortable. on the down side, since we like to go out and stay out late, the bus service was very slow to this hotel, after 11 in the evening .There is only one bus that stops at the bus stop by the hotel, not too cool. Also the bathroom was very small, which I knew about, but it was actually smaller than expected, at least in our room, can't comment about a suite or other rooms. Finally, the lady at the reception desk in the evenings was not very friendly at all, maybe she was tired, but everyone else was wonderful.
