I do not wish to challenge a fellow Diamond Elite card holder but I though the overall grade on the last report a little harsh. I do agree with everything he says but I seemed to enjoy myself better. My room was in the back part of the hotel and was extremely quiet, leading me to believe some rooms are quieter than others. Dinner and Breakfast were okay but I have had much better in Italy, the dinning staff though were excellent. Me and my colleague enjoyed the bar but this could of been because of the fun atmosphere due to the EM 08 being shown on the large flat screen. The bus into town cost 90 cents and you can buy the ticket at the reception, this is much better than the walk which is along the main road with a limited pavement.

El hotel esta bien, pero se dirige a un tipo de cliente específico, de trabajo y congresos. Esta mal ubicado y con comunicacion dificil con la ciudad de Lucca. Las habitaciones y su equipamiento estan bien, los aseos tambien. Pero no tiene vistas, ni terrazas ni jardines. Se desayuna y se come en el sotano, sin ventanas, el bar y las salas tampoco tienen contacto con el exterior. Nosotros estuvimos 2 noches y aunque en la habitacion estuvimos bien la sensacion era estar en un lugar no pensado para ir de turismo.

My husband and I stayed one night while visiting the old city of Lucca. PROS: - Courteous & gracious staff - very helpful and attentive to needs and requests. -Lovely lobby, bar, restaurant areas. The wait staff very attentive & courteous. Food mediocre. Nice breakfast buffet; again, the food quality, although sufficient, was nothing stellar. - Large rooms & bathrooms for Europe. Clean and tidy. The hotel is well maintained for the most part. Bed was very comfortable. CONS: - Outside the city walls and hard to find. There is a shuttle bus you can take to the centre of the city for 0.80 Euro. We did not take it because it only runs to 8 p.m. We opted to take the car; the city, however, is difficult to maneuver and parking is a commodity. - Rooms are noisy - especially when toilets are flushed or if the water is running in other rooms. - Not very soundproof.

This was a beautiful Hotel! It was more like a 5 star than a 4 star. Rooms were clean and beautiful. I really enjoyed our stay here. Note that it is not in the city center and it can be confusing to get to things if you have a rental car.
