We spent two nights (six days apart) in this hotel.
The location of the hotel is really great, being within the pedestrian area of the Piazza Ferretto with many bars and restaurants nearby.
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly on both occasions.
Unfortunately on the first night we were given a room on the first floor which had a non-functioning air conditioning unit. Also the room was close to the kitchen and we were awakened very early as the staff made preparations for breakfast.
The room had a double bed consisting of two single mattresses. One mattress was fine but the other was extremely firm and had a high point down the middle sloping down on each side – so altogether sleeping was hot, noisy, uncomfortable (and precarious).
On the second night, six days later, we had an excellent room on the second floor which had none of the problems we had experienced previously.
The Buffet Breakfast was very good on both occasions.

This hotel has everything you could need during your stay in Mestre or Venice. Cleanliness is the most important thing to me, and I was extremely pleased in that regard. The room and bathroom were a decent size and the towels were changed everyday. The staff were friendly. It is a short ride to Venice by bus. If you return late at night, just ring the bell and staff will promptly let you back in. I would definitely stay there again!

I liked this hotel. The room was very spacious, although a pipe was going in the middle of the room from the ceiling down to the floor. Yes, a pipe in the middle of the room (!), but otherwise the room was comfortable, what 3 stars deserve.
Breakfast was OK.
The location is great, on the nicest piazza in Mestre. My room was overviewing the bustling square, the cafes - it felt very Italian, which was great.

If you travel to Venice, but decided to stay in Mestre - location of Vivit is hard to beat: smack in the middle of an attractive pedestrian mall in the center of this otherwise mediocre town. Have a rather pleasant breakfast on the terrace, and then catch a bus at a stop 100 feet from the hotel - and in 15 minutes you are in Venice. And when you come back and take a shower - you can just step outside and grab a drink, snack or dessert at one of the several caffes right on the piazza, which were open well after midnight. The rooms and bathrooms may use some updates, but are clean and spacious enough. Parking is tricky to use, but once you parked - it's free.
