We got a great deal on Hotwire for a last minute stay at this 4-star Firenze hotel. Arrival on Friday afternoon was effortless. Staff rushed out to help us with our bags and we went from a horribly hot tuscan afternoon to checked in and in our room in under 5 minutes. Wi-Fi Internet access was free if you had a laptop and it was the fastest I have found in Italy. Room was decent sized for a European hotel room, and at no time did it feel cramped for 2 people. Queen size bed was extremely comfortable and had top notch sheets and comforter. Bathroom was large for Italy and the shower/tub had excellent water pressure. Concierge made a dinner reservation for us that was excellent and the entire staff was pleasent and helpful at all times. Despite my efforts at bad Italian they all spoke perfect english and we had no complaints with the staff. Location: Personally I found the location to be perfect. It is a 10 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio and about 10 minutes to il Duomo as well, so you can really be wherever you need to get in under 20 minutes. If you walked from Stazione SMN I would guess it could take 30 minutes, but there is a bus stop right in from that goes to the station and a cab was only 10 euros.

First time to Florence. The concierge at the hotel was very helpful in getting reservations to the museums so that we did not have to stand in the long lines to get in. Just ask. Within easy walking distance to most major attractions. The hotel is a bit older and for us the air conditioning was not cool enough but we keep our own home freezing. Check out the lighting fxtures in the rooms and hallways. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms had tubs and showers. The blow dryer has a plug in for razors if you have the right adaptor. The concierge was so accommodating that they actually contacted our driver by his cell phone after we checked out to advise me that I had forgot my glasses and to see where they could forward them to me. Be sure to tip your concierge because they definately deserve it for the time and convenience they offer.

Location and view of the hotel was great .. Next to Arno river , easy walk to everywhere. Hotel staff was very friendly and polite. Arranged our museum reservations at last minute with success .. Room was clean .. Will consider staying again on next trip.

We had one of the rooms on the top floor with a blacony. The room itself was small and decent but nothing special. The balcony was a great bonus and the view was incredible! The hotel staff was pleasant and the breakfast served daily in the main restaurant was very good. This hotel is in a very good location. It was easy to walk to everything and again, the view was amazing. It's worth the high price if only for the view.
