We stayed at the Astro Hotel for one night during our tour of Sicily. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. All three front desk clerks we encountered spoke English quite well, which was very helpful. We were able to leave our rental car in their small parking space which was a huge relief given the limited street parking. Our room was bigger than most European hotel rooms but our bed was quite uncomfortable. The mattress springs poked into you as you slept. Time for new mattresses!! The room was clean but the air conditioning/heating unit was old and difficult to use. The hair dryer was awful. It is amazing to us that so many European hotels have these old hair dryers that do nothing but make a bird's nest out of your hair! An upgrade to this essential item would be nominal in cost. Yes, our room was noisy. The hotel is on the main drag. But the location to the beach and historic town cannot be beat. No elevator/lift. No iron/ironing board. In all, an average stay, but I would not want to stay for more than one night.

This hotel was at the low cost end so we didn't expect too much. The room was nice and clean, comfortable with a good bathroom, breakfast was OK but would have liked more "proper" food and less cake ! More tourist information, particularly for English speakers would be very useful though as this was rather lacking. Will be much better once building work opposite is complete.

Handy for the train station and beach, a pleasant 10 minute stroll to the historical centre. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, shower was good. Breakfast was relatively good. We feel we got value for money here.

Un Buon posto per chi vuole visitare la splendida cittadina di Cefalu', una delle citta' piu' turistiche della Sicilia. Un buon consiglio puo' essere quello di muoversi verso la costa est dove si trovano cittadine e spiagge molto belle, fra le varie consiglio castel di tusa, finale, Santo Stefano di camastra. un altro buon consiglio puo' essere quello di visitare i paesi di montagna situati la' vicino, che sono molto caratteristici e molto antichi, alcuni bei paesi sono Castelbuono, Geraci, Mistretta. Cmq se scegliete quest'albergo a Cefalu' non penso che ve ne pentirete.

This hotel is fine - good value, helpful staff and in a great location. However don't expect to have a relaxing stay, as the building site opposite creates a lot of noise, and if your room is on the main road as ours was, then you will not sleep a wink past 6am.
