I felt obliged to write this review having seen that some time ago it appears to have had a poor review which simply stuns me. My wife and I are looking forward to a return visit when ever we can arrange it. Ravello itself is not for persons who may have any difficulty with walking up and down steep inclines. The Bonadies however is the most friendly family hotel we have ever stayed in. Value for money it deserves 5 stars. The reception staff right down to the chamber maids were so friendly we were not surprised to encounter one guest undertaking his 15th annual hoiliday. Being rugby enthusiasts we were even allowed to watch NZ v Engalnd in the owners private room (although we wished we hadn't) The food is typical local cuisine. No English breakfasts but we soon found how to make the most of "toasted cheese and ham with a boiled egg".

The Hotel Bonadies is lovely. We paid extra for a front sea view and balcony which is well worth it for the stunning view. The room was quite small but clean and comfortable with a decent bathroom, and clean sheets and towels every day. All the staff were helpful, especially the girl on the desk who went out of her way to tell us about the village and give us a map etc. The food was good, though dinner a bit all the same and perhaps too bland for some people. The house wine was 12 euros a bottle (the red nicer than the white). Breakfast was good - you can boil eggs and there is a wide selection of juice, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, cheese, bread, meat etc etc.
The hotel is excellent value for money, the staff are all very obliging and I'd definitely go there again. Just beware that in the village bars and shops they do try and rip you off by short changing or overcharging you. Ask the prices first!

I have just come back from my wedding in Ravello which was absolutely amazing. The 5 days up until the wedding our families had all booked into the Bonadies, mainly becuase it was very good value through Citalia and looked like a nice family hotel. When we arrived the staff were more than helpful getting all 15 of us checked in promptly, the owner was lovely and so were his family. The location was great, only about a 5 minute walk to the square, food was also good (restaurant has an anazing view) - there was a different choice every night, and service was good. We didnt expect too much so were really pleased when we arrived with our choice of stay. If you book directly with the hotel i think its too expensive for what you get but we got a good deal so value for money for us was not bad. The pool was really nice, and it was the perfect place for my mine and my hsubands families to stay, including my elderly grandparents who had a wonderful time. i would definately go back to this hotel, they were also having a refurb on the higher up rooms (no noise distubance at all) and I had a sneaky peak and they looked lovely. Would definately recommend this hotel but for real luxury go to the Palazzo Sasso!

Less than happy with over all stay. I would not recommend it for women traveling alone-I was seated away from other diners in the dining hall. Although my room was spacious, it smelled of mildew. Each evening at dinner(I was there on half board) I chose to have some wine-the bottle was not saved from one nights dinner to the next. Consequently I was charged 12 euros for a house white(forgettable) for each evening. I noticed the bottle was decorked only the first noc-I suspect the bottles may have been combined after that.

We traveled to Ravello in January to prepare for our June wedding. We were blown away with the magnificent views of the Amalfi Coast from Hotel Bonadies, and were thrilled to be treated like family from the minute we walked in the door. The entire staff was extremely professional, always pleasant, and ready to care for our every need. Suita (hotel manager and owner's daughter) was exceptionally helpful and spent many hours giving us free advice and tips on how to make our wedding perfect. We were so impressed that when we found out that she herself organized weddings in Ravello and receptions at Hotel Bonadies, we immediately booked her services. At our return in June, our every need was again catered to with great enthusiasm. The wedding was in a small church and the reception was to be held on the terrace at Hotel Bonadies. After a perfect ceremony it began to rain and the reception had to be moved indoors, but the staff responded immediately to create an intimate setting inside the restaurant. Everything was beautiful, and the food was absolutely spectactular. Our guests are still raving about the "best meal" they had while in Italy, and we were very impressed to find out that much of the food is grown and raised in the hotel's own garden. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ravello who desires a friendly environment with immaculately clean rooms, delicious local food, and breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast.
