From the first step into the Hotel Costazzurra, my wife and I were made to feel like we were in the home of friends. Full of information and advice of places to go and see, the staff were efficient and helpful. We would definitely return to Costazzurra when we are in Sicily again.
A big thanks to the staff of Hotel Costazzurra.

This hotel is in a great location - walking distance to the waterfront with good restaurants and views. And most importantly it is so close to the temples! What an experience to see those beautiful buildings and the wonderful view.
The proprietors of the hotel were excellent. The son who spoke excellent English greeted us with a special Greek wine crafted locally, and he showed us a video of the sights in the area. His father showed us where to park and helped us with our luggage. We drove there with no reservations and stayed two nights in a lovely room with a balcony. We enjoyed the dinner in their dining room as well as the breakfasts. It was an experience we will always remember.

If you want to stay put for your holiday, San Leone is a good base for visiting other parts of the island.
Hotel Costazzurra is a good three star hotel, situated one quarter of a mile from the seafront in San Leone, straight down the street from the hotel. The bus stop for the Valley of the Temples is also at the bottom of this street. By bus is the best way to the Temples - costs Euro 1.80 return and also the best way to visit further on Agrigento - also Euro 1.80 return.
Our rooms were excellent at 84 euro per room per night B & B. The hotel is very well run by the La Gaipa family, three sons under the eagle eye of their very hands-on father, whom we christened Papa. We travelled as two married couples and spent a fair amount of time in the lobby area or outside on the patio playing bridge. The friendly La Gaipas were always on hand to serve drinks, bring extra chairs, translate notices in Italian. We stayed six nights and ate in for dinner on four. It was good value compared with prices in the seafront restaurants. The menu needs more vegetable choices which could easily be done in a country where they are so readily available. Also - what about some delicious Italian icecream as an occasional surprise!.

Stayed one night in March 2008 and had a very pleasant stay. The staff is great, speaks French and English and is very friendly and always available.
Great location near the valley of the temples (the city of Agrigento itself is of no interest), free parking, very good breakfast.
They even gave us a bottle of wine when we left .
Highley recommended.

A nice, friendly hotel in the small seaside suburb of San Leone, near Agrigento. We stayed overnight in order to see the fantastic Valley of the Temples. Hotel is friendly and clean, the room was fine, and there is free parking in a secure area. Our main objection is that the hotel is a bit of walk from the seafront, and do NOT go to San Leone expecting a beach resort - the seafront in the town is pretty awful.
