If you like a view do not ask for a room on the top floor in this hotel. While our room was large and very clean the window was behind a parapet that surrounds the roof of the building. The only thing you could see is a bit of sky. However if you want a quite stay then it certainly was that. Also the hotel is a bit too far from the main action of the historical centre. The upside is that the staff were very nice and the hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was also very good.

We stayed at the Opera Hotel on our first visit to Prague. I felt it was fab, the room was luxurious and a huge Queen size bed,
spotlessly clean room ect. I was pleasantly impressed with the robe, slippers ect provided. The breakfast was fresh and tasty,
bacon ect and lovely fresh rolls, scones ect. It is walking distance from the sights we did'nt take the tram at all. But if you don't enjoy walking a tram stop is opposite.
At night it was quite dark coming back so a tram or bus would be better. Pizza restraunts cheap nearby. Prague is wonderful and lots to see beer cheap. Watch out for cafes ect right in the old town square centre as they are dearer. Side streets cheaper to eat/drink

Very nice option in Prague

A nice 4-star hotel. Spent 5 days there on a business trip. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is fairly good - about 15-20 minutes walk from Staromesto - the heart of the old town. Also, 2 minutes walk to Florenc subway station and with a tram station at the doorstep (the public transit system in Prague is very good and inexpensive - recommend it highly). The breakfast was quite good - nice selection of pastries, fruits and cold cuts (the hot table was limited). I also had one dinner at the hotel - quite decent and inexpensive. Some features that could stand improvement: (1) no shower doors/curtain - you either take a bath or end up flooding the whole bathroom, (2) internet connection not included in the price (10 Euro per day extra), (3) staff not very knowledgeable about restaurants, etc. However, would definitely stay here again - comparable to good 4-star hotels at other cities in Europe I have stayed at.
