I stayed at this hotel this Christmas day while in transit to another Indian city.This was my second stay at this hotel in 2007 and I must say that both my stays have been excellent. Apart from being clean with top quality furnishings and bathrooms - what was especially pleasant was the customer service. The staff always greeted you in the corridors and everyone went out of their way to try and attend to your needs. Being Christmas, there was a dinner buffet in the restaurant downstairs ( I forget the name) and the food was delicious. There was turkey and all the trimmings of course but we went for the Indian food - which was quite simply- extraordinary. And again the servers went out of their way to take care of you. We did not use the pool as it was quite cool but did go down to the Spa and tried their Head Massage which was very, very good. On the whole an extremely pleasant experience. The hotel is quite close to the airport and we had booked a hotel car to pick us up. The pick up went without a hitch - good car. good driver - who could speak English. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

We stayed here for just one night in early November because we got stuck in Calcutta after our flight was cancelled. I booked the the rooms by calling the hotel directly and they were able to give me a pretty good rate (Rs. 9000) considering Calcutta is such a big city (hotel rooms in Mumbai and Delhi are twice as much) and it was so last minute. Upon arrival, I was so amazed at the hotel....everything from the front of the hotel, the 7 story lobby, and it's ultra chic decor. The standard rooms that we had were huge, clean, and, again, ultra modern. The service at the hotel was also very prompt. The hotel is located about 16 km from the airport and is probably the closest 5 star hotel to the airport. There didn't seem to be much near the hotel in terms of restaurants or shopping on par with the Hyatt. Most of the higher quality restaurants seem to be downtown, which can be quite a mission with traffic. If I ever find myself in Calcutta again (doubtful) or you find yourself in Calcutta, I would definitely stay at the Hyatt Regency.

Tres recent,parfaitement amenagé Il est l'exemple meme d'un Hyatt parfait..Tres propre,grand,ultra moderne il est une oasis parfaite au sein de Calcutta! La piscine un poil petite et la situation un peu lointaine du centre de Calcutta sont les deux desavantages largement compensés par la classe du Hyatt et son ambiance relaxante garantis par la clim efficace,le spa,le service excellent et les chambres tout services,vastes et tres tres agréables...le lit du Hyatt étant un exemple en la matiere! The Hotel pour vos sejours à Calcutta,surtout en affaire,la proximité du Business District aidant qui plus est!

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel il 3 aprile per una notte per la mia tappa a Calcutta. Ho prenotato l'hotel tramite il suo sito web e non ho avuto problemi. Un'auto con aria condizionata mi aspettava all'aeroporto per portarmi in hotel e il personale di ricevimento è stato molto cordiale e disponibile. Mi hanno assegnato una camera con vista sulla piscina al livello club (non l'avevo richiesto) ed è stata una picevole ed inaspettata sorpresa. La camera era molto confortevole e pulita e il bagno era moderno e ben attrezzato. Questo hotel è piuttosto bello e la colazione e gli spuntini al livello club erano eccellenti. Consiglio senza dubbio questo hotel a chiunque. Il personale ha fatto di tutto per rendere il mio soggiorno confortevole. Sono rimasto soltanto una notte, ma è stata proprio una bella esperienza.

Abbiamo scelto questo hotel semplicemente perché era il più vicino all’aeroporto, considerato il fatto che arrivavamo molto tardi a Calcutta e ripartivamo il giorno successivo. Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti dal nostro soggiorno in tutti i suoi aspetti, dalla ricezione in aeroporto fino alla partenza. Sebbene ci siamo registrati in hotel in piena notte, c’erano numerosi membri del personale ad accoglierci, e tutti erano molto premurosi, gentili e cordiali. Avevamo prenotato delle camere collegate per noi e i nostri tre figli e all’arrivo abbiamo scoperto di essere in una suite… meraviglioso! Le camere erano molto ampie, molto moderne, eleganti e pulite e i bagni erano grandi e molto puliti! L’unico cibo che abbiamo consumato è stata la colazione a buffet che era davvero buona - e, vivendo in Asia, sappiamo cosa significhi una colazione disgustosa! Consiglio vivamente questo hotel se avete bisogno di stare vicino all’aeroporto o desiderate evitare il trambusto della città di Calcutta. Ci si impiega solo 30 minuti a raggiungere l’aeroporto in pieno giorno.
