Wear earplugs when you flush the toilet!

I was very excited about my stay here. I got a great rate through Priceline. For the price, I would say I got my money's worth. The Atrium lobby was beautiful, but crowded. The hotel employees were respectful enough, but I feel like they talked down to me a bit because of the price I paid. The room was a good size (1844). Kept up most of the night by delivery trucks, they were extremely loud. The bed was hard, almost like sleeping on the floor. But the bed was pretty and contemporary. The bathroom was decent, but the toilet..MY GOD! When you flush, it is SO loud. I'm not exaggerating at all. My husband would plus his ears when he flushed and would run out of the bathroom! Funny, but definitely annoying. I don't see how it didn't disturb the entire floor. We had a tiny box TV by the bed, but I wasn't there to watch TV, so it really didn't matter that much. There was a nice desk in the room and an old chair. Check In and Check Out were fairly quick. I didn't pay attention to my bill, but should've because after I got back on the road, I noticed that they charged me for the $5 bottle of water, that was UNTOUCHED. We didn't drink it, but were charged. I dislike places that nickel and dime people, and this is one of them.

It started with a strange phone call to relocate me to the Hilton down the road. I objected but wish I hadn't! The room was very nasty! There was mold on the shower tile walls, there was a ring of dirt in the sink. The light sockets were without covers. The furniture was very badly scratched and wrapped with duct tape. The desk chair was terribly nasty with crumbs and dirt in it. The beds were terrible. There was no mattress pad and there were hairs all over the bed. I will never stay here again. And maybe never at any other Hyatt.

I just returned from a 5 night stay at the The Hyatt. The rooms are *very* small, and the food is not great. On the other hand, everything was clean, the staff was friendly, very nice fitness facility, and it was relatively quiet. If you're travelling for business, I'd say the Hyatt is fine. But if you're on vacation, I would definitely skip this hotel and go for something with a better pool/restaurants/lobby.

Overall I had a very good experience at the Hyatt Regency. I booked a double room but was assigned a single bed room, however the staff was very courteous and helpful and made the change with no problems whatsoever. The hotel is convenient to Centennial Olympic Park, and the Aquarium, and there is a Marta Station within one block. On the down side, homeless people constantly harrassing you for money are at every turn. On the 3 block stroll to the CNN Center, I was hit up for money 4 times. I made up my own gibberish language and found that they gave up quickly.
I didn't eat at the restaurants, but I did like the convenience of the 24 hour coffee shop near the lobby bar. The room was clean and well appointed but the bathroom was very small. The Air conditioning could have been a bit more efficient- it was turned down ot 62 degrees and it remained well in the upper 70's in the room.
I got the room through Priceline and with the $24.00 parking fee I paid $97.00 per night for my stay. A good bargain for any Hyatt Regency.

I was a little nervous about staying after reading some negative reviews. However, we didn't experience any problems. We were met at the vehicle for valet parking upon arrival. Went to the check
in and had a very courteous clerk and were in our room in about 10 minutes. Room was smaller, in the Radius Tower, but was clean and we really couldn't have asked for anything better. The hotel was full but we never heard any noise from our room. The location is great, its close to everything and walking distance to many of the downtown attractions. MARTA is also right there.
We booked this room through priceline, and for the price, I couldn't have been happier with the results. I would definitely stay there again and plan to when visiting the downtown Atlanta area.
