After reading the negative comments about this hotel I was really dreading staying here - checked in early and found the front desk staff to be very friendly and accomodating. The health club was fantastic, wish it had been open 24 hours a day but sadly its not. The rooms were clean, but needed updating - which I was advised was to happen later this year. The hotel is located in a great area with great restaurants and shopping.
All in all I can't complain in the slightest with the great rate I received on the internet.

We arrived to find construction mess in front of bldg, booked a smoking room put us in a non-smoking once we got up there asked to switch to smoking room, did that got to room smelled horrible there are ways to clean and treat smoke odor they did not, paint peeling in the bathroom, dirty ceiling, not allowed to checkin until 3pm.. pool closed at 4pm one main reason we booked this hotel..pool not even associated with hotel its a health club however they advise they have a pool NO GOOD!, ROOM SERVICE UNAVAILABLE DUE TO SOME OUTAGE, all resturants in area fine, main steakhouse NOT OPEN ON SUN FOR DINNER, BASICALLY EXPERIENCE A TERRIBLE TIME WE LEFT. FRONT DESK WOMAN NOT IMFORMATIVE.. AS WE LEFT A VERY PROFESSIONAL MAN HELPED UP WITH BAGS RICK A FRONT DESK CLERK HE SHOULD BE PROMOTED.

Rooms are average - about like a Marriott but a bit larger. Liked the modern feel o fthe lobby and bar. Hopin' bar on a Tuesday night and great food! Met the chef - he is about 25 and loves food and does a great job - for a hotel. He stopped by periodically to see how I liked the food. I enjoyed it - certainly a refreshing stop for a foodie. If you are a hard core foodie get out and try the local fare; don't eat at the hotel but if you get in too late or are lazy you will get a nice meal.

This hotel was right in Morristown, which was very nice. Parking in the hotel lot was free with validation from the hotel. The lobby was beautiful and the restaurant and bar looked very nice, but I didn't use either. The service was wonderful - very nice, used my name when addressing me. They treated me the same as a customer paying regular price (I got a decent price on hotwire).
The rooms were older and basic. But there wasn't any noise from the hall. It seemed a bit empty in the hotel. I wasn't thrilled with the rooms, but I guess the 4 stars are for service rather than the room itself.
Overall, pretty good.
