Stayed 2 nights in early June, 2008 during EuroCup, so rates may have been jacked up. Park King standard room was spacious and non-smoking. Chose Park Hyatt over Widder because Widder has no non-smoking rooms. Rich, high-quality materials and finishes used throughout the hotel. Lots of wood and marble. Very modern. Difficult to figure out operation of high tech light switches, thermostat, TV controls, shower controls, etc. Never did figure out TV remote except for basic functions.
Strange bathtub/shower design with sliding doors opening into bedroom. Ceiling mounted, unenclosed rain shower. Eventually got to like it. Small closet & drawer space for such a large room. Room was very quiet--faced on a quiet side street. Barely able to hear street noise & no sound from adjoining rooms, but could hear footsteps and some sounds from room above. If on top (6th) floor, shouldn't have that. Firm, but comfortable chair & ottoman & king bed. Excellent room lighting with lots of dimmers, but complex light switches.
No concierege and front desk people had limited knowledge--for example: had never heard of Swiss Card and couldn't explain how or where to validate.
Broadband internet access in room costs 30 CHF per night, use of computer in business center costs 15 CHF for 30 minutes.
Nice fresh fruit selection replaced daily along with two large bottles of water. Park Haus restaurant is excellent, but expensive.
Summary: a very pleasant, but very expensive, place to stay. Probably close to 5 stars, except for lack of concierege and limited storage space. But not good value for cost.

Stayed here for 2 nights in late April 2008. Noticed that the room was somewhat scented on entry - but was pleased to see a window that opened! Suffered severe breathing problems throughout the night and in the morning turned off the air-con and left the window open. Second night leaving air-con off and window open had an even worse night. Realised that even with the air-con off the hotel pumps a shot of "air freshener" through the air vents roughly every 20 minutes.
When I tried to explain to Reception that this was a dangerous practice for some of us I was offered a cup of coffee! And if you are allergic to cigarette smoke you will have an even greater problem - while rooms may be non-smoking the corridors are not - so there were signs of a late night drinking-smoking party in the corridor on our floor when we emerged for breakfast.
Unable to comment on breakfast or restaurant as we headed for fresh air at great speed.

I stayed at the Park Hyatt Zurich for two nights on a business trip, and would definitely return. The hotel is one of the best I have stayed in for business. With an early morning arrival, I did not expect my room to be available, and it was not, but my colleague's room was ready and mine became ready within an hour. The regular king room was spacious, with a luxurious bath, a most comfortable bed, and a unique opening to get fresh air into the room. The staff was remarkably pleasant and helpful. The gym was small but adequate, with new equipment, and the locker room had a great steam room and shower. The nicest touch was the ability to pre-order coffee for delivery at a certain time in the morning, which triggered not a knock on the door, but first, a wake up call just moments prior to the coffee's arrival. The bar and lobby were clearly "happening places" (if there are such things in Zurich), and the hotel was conveniently located to the waterfront, for a pleasant walk, and to the business and shopping areas. A fine place to stay.

This is probably one of the finer hotels in Zurich. Service is Swiss all the way....not a thing to ask for. The rooms were modern and superbly clean and comfortable. It's location is a little away from the city center, but a 15 or 20 minute walk will get you there. (The tram stop is Stockerstrasse, but if you're staying here, you're probably not taking the tram.) If you have the means, I highly recommend the hotel.
