Beautiful hotel and on the whole, super friendly staff. We asked for a room on a higher floor and were given the highest one possible for our room type (city view with king bed) we booked directly with the hotel website - great as they have a best rates guarantee. We told them it was for our anniversary and found a box of choccies awaiting us. Pool on the roof is superb overlooking the forest and Johannesburg. Buffet brekky at the Executive Floor and the evening cocktail were a very comfortable and peaceful moment. Sitting outside in the garden with a glass of wine is really an expereince as you feel everywhere but not in such a violent city.

We stayed at the Hyatt prior to our return home to the states after a long trip. I can heartily recommend the concierge floor. The rooms are not large, but they are beautifully outfitted and the bathrooms are splendid. The decor is modern with lots of black marble. Shower is separate, bathtub is huge with an enormous number of white towels and plenty of places to put them. Housekeeping is spotless. The welcome was upstairs at the concierge desk. Everyone is in beautiful uniforms, gracefully won, smiling and professional. Fancy coffees available at all times and very good snacks are available. Immediately nearby is a nice mall with hairdressers, some galleries and lots of stores and restaurants. The African Crafts Mall is just five minutes away, and this is a fabulous place to buy good quality, moderately priced goods for everyone on your list.

The Park Hyatt as we know it is an excellent hotel in an ideal location. We stayed on the executive floors and the service there was above average and excellent. The hotel rooms are well designed and spacious, and the bathrooms beautifully designed for function and ease. The only down side is the construction of the new speed train in Gauteng, that has a large portion of its construction right next door, leaving us without power from time to time when blasting occurred. Hopefully that wont spoil it for anyone though!

We booked the Hotel through the Web and the Hyatt was the most expensive. They should definetely review their rates a bit. But we have been upgraded to a suite and we felt like we were expected. The people at this hotel are extremely helpful and friendly, you feel like you are a VVIP everywhere. We have appreciated this special attention and recognition we are lacking in many luxury property. One of our most lovely stay in Hyatt.
