I am from Kansas. I'm 52 years old and have stayed in many hotels over the years. But I must say that my visit this past weekend to Vicksburg Ms. and the Hampton inn there was the top of all my hotel experiences.
The Inn and rooms were emaculate and the staff as friendly and helpful as any I have ever worked with. Especially the breakfast cooridnator. I to am in foodservice. And I found her very pleasent and informative.
I will make it a point to stay at the Hampton the next time I'm in the Vicksburg area. And will definatly reccomend this inn to friends and business associates as they travel the country.

Spent one night at this hotel on our way to Florida in July 2008. A very modern, clean facility, very nice rooms. Only minor gripe was that the front desk staff were not as friendly as one might have expected. Great location across from the battlefield, which itself is well worth a visit.

We were so impressed upon entering the hotel. It is was so spacious and elegant with chandeliers, furniture and lobby area. The outside veranda was so pleasant. Very comfortable and lots of seating to choose from and fountain to listen to while visiting or reading. Tables and chairs available outside. Huge covered area to accomodate several parties. The rooms were extremely clean and well cared for by staff. I cannot find one thing wrong with room or stay. The staff upon check in and check out was very friendly and cheerful. The location is right across from the Civil War trails and museum. We arrived in time to walk around downtown during the Riverfest. Lots of small stores and all were very friendly. This was a perfect ending to our cruise and heading home. This hotel is like entering an upscale southern large mansion without all the stuffy antiques.

This is the newest and nicest Hampton Inn I have come across. All in my party expressed their surprise at how large and updated the facility is. Location is very convenient to battlefield and casinos. Service was fine. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom okay. Continental breakfast was typical for chain motels. Rate was higher than expected though, at $149 + almost $30 in taxes. Will stay again if in the area.

This is a great place to stay. The breakfast is good with plenty of choices. It is close to a civil war park where you can go jogging. The cookies at night are very good. The beds are so comfortable that I didn't want to ever leave. The internet connection is good.
