Had difficulty in finding hotel but ideal location for everything. Great hotel, lovely clean rooms, would certainly stay here again. Can't think of anything negative to say about it.
We self parked across the road otherwise you could have had it valet parked below the hotel.
Savannah is a beautiful town far better than we thought it would be. Must go on the hop on and hop off bus. We had several drivers but the best was Angel she had a great sense of humour. There seems to be a block of houses and then a park considering how hot it was everywhere was so green. This town has many historic buildings, a waterfront where you can sit and relax and watch the boats 'go by'. We even saw where Forest Gump sat in the movie but the bench has been removed and is in a museum.
The Hampton Inn is so well situated to everything, the waterfront with small shops, pubs and restaurants everything is just across the road. We didn't know whether to stay at this Hampton Inn or the other one in the town, this has to be the best location. The pool is on the roof, we sat up there for a while in the evening and the outlook is outstanding, it looks across the town and the river, everywhere is lit up.
We wished that we could have stayed another night here so that we could have seen more of Savannah, a town everyone must see it is so beautiful. We cannot wait to go back there and see more.

We reserved a room with one double bed. The weekend rate was $149.00 + $10.00 per night parking. Valet parking is $15.00 I had read about the parking garage being small so we rented a compact car. When we arrived there were some minivans parked in the parking garage and I was very glad to have a small car. They have a special section for compact cars and we were lucky enough to get one next to the elevator. We were very pleasantly surprised upon entering the lobby. The hotel appeared a little more upscale than the other Hampton Inn’s I’ve stayed at. The staff was exceptionally friendly and eager to help. The description of our room did not list a microwave or mini fridge but was equipped with both. The double sized bed although small was big enough for two average size adults and still had the same wonderful Serta Dream system that is so comfortable. We missed the free breakfast both mornings. We only had to cross the street to visit River Street and Factor’s walk. There were other attractions nearby but after getting lost in the historic district (my fault) and venturing way past Forsyth Park we opted to just hang out on River Street. This Hampton Inn was great and I would stay here again as well as recommend it to a friend.

This Hampton Inn Hotel was alright. The staff was the most friendly staff I have ever encountered at any hotel. The rooms were nice, and the overall condition of the hotel was very nice. If they regularly cleaned the carpet instead of just vacuuming it, the hotel would be awesome instead of just alright. The carpet in the hallways and especially the rooms nedds shampooed. I can not stand dirty carpet in a hotel, and simply put; this carpet was dirty. The cleaning staff vacuumed continuously, but the carpet needed shampooed, not vacuumed. When I checked out, I had several un-authorized charges to my room that the management corrected without question. The location of the property is also great. It could not be in a more perfect spot. The breakfast was very good and much more than I would expect from a continental breakfast. The pool is nice and the weight room is also nice. Shampoo the carpet, and you will have an excellent hotel.

Our 2nd stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, the staff is fantastic. Only drawback is a noisy air conditioning unit but the hotel is undergoing a major renovation so hopefully they will get new A/C units. Beautiful hotel, excellent breakfast, within walking distance to everything in the historic area.
